Unfortunately that poster might actually be fanmade. Stephen Chow last spoke about a sequel in 2019 and there has been no confirmation about that poster being official. Chow also stated that he would probably only be in as a cameo as the story would have no direct ties to the original. Based on that information, I think it's fanmade because the poster makes it seem like a direct sequel.

That still doesn't provide any real recent concrete information. That article is also using really old excerpts from articles as far back as 2005.
Chow confirmed it a few years back. He's only going to have a cameo and it's set in the present and focus on new characters.
