This is actually a short film at only just under a half hour. If you're a film buff and familiar with Terry Gilliam's 12 Monkeys, I think this is fascinating to watch even though it's very dated with a comparatively crude production. It's like this basic movie planted a seed and eventually grew into 12 Monkeys. The story parallels are very strong with 12 Monkeys and I respect anyone doing this level of Sci-Fi in the 60s. The film itself is a post-war story told entirely through still photos.
I'm really glad i watched this. Something about it was just freakin' eerie just because it reminded me of 12 Monkeys.
The movie is just out there free on YouTube so I linked it here if anyone is curious.

La Jetée (French pronunciation: [la ʒəte]) ("The Jetty", here referring to an outdoor viewing pier at an airport) is a 1962 French Left Bank science-fiction featurette by Chris Marker. Constructed almost entirely from still photos, it tells the story of a post-nuclear war experiment in time travel. It is 28 minutes long and shot in black and white. It won the Prix Jean Vigofor short film.
