I'm what you call a super smeller. I have heightened sense of smell. I love colognes, scented washes, candles, etc. I've tried about 30 different colognes this year. My personal, affordable, favorite, and one that chicks really love, is Kiehl's Fragrance (Musk Eau de Toilette Spray). It's a fruity smell. Last's decently long. I've received nothing but compliments from it. And while Creed's Aventus has changed over the years, it's still the best cologne I've used. It last forever. It's expensive, so it's only for special occasions, and first date's! It makes a great first impression.

I wear something most days. The Kiehl's above is the daily one I used. As far as Creed Aventus knockoffs go, while they smell ok, they're not really it. At least the older batches. Some of the knockoffs have come close to the newer Creed Aventus. There are some mixtures I saw on Youtube that claim to nail it, but I haven't tried them. The knockoffs don't have the longevity. I don't wash jeans every time I wear them, you're not supposed to, and Creed Aventus will last on there for a few days if some of the spray landed there.

The one kind of scent I hate are sandalwood scented anything. It really smells "old man," like.
 
Never heard of any of those colognes. Cologne lasts me for YEARS as I put it on MAYBE once a week. I am in my office at work 50 hours a week, and I ain't got nobody to impress. I where it usually on Friday nights or Saturday nights. I do look for good smelling shampoos, bar soaps and lotions though. Here are my go to colognes:

Ahhh, CK One! The memories of being 18 years old... I haven't smelled 2 yet. Liz Claiborne for Men, I haven't smelled that in quite a long time. If memory serves, it was more towards a sandalwood smelling cologne? I could be wrong?

Creed's Aventus is expensive. Around $300ish per 3.3oz bottle. In my mind is't worth it because it's a special occasion thing.

I would give Kiehl's a try. Get it right from them $45 for 1.7oz. Smells great.

Liz Claiborne for men is a fruity smell. One of the worst colognes I smell on people is the Ralph Lauren original old school cologne. It makes me GAG. Old Spice is better than that s***.

I am willing to try something new for sure. I rarely step outside my comfort zone with cologne (as you can tell). I do have a tester of Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch...

I'll get a tester of Liz. If you like fruity, don't buy a tester of Creed Aventus. You'll have a very hard time not buying a bottle if it!

Edit: Oh, Liz Claiborne is only $15 a bottle?

Yeah Liz is like old spice now (as in it can be found anywhere and it's old). But now that you said Fruity and Creed Aventus, I might have to get it!!

Get a tester from US only on ebay and look at the feedback. There are countless russian fakes on there. Full bottles are on ebay as well. Again, look at feedback and from US only. Read the desctiptions. A 3.3oz bottle will be in the $250 range.

I like Aventus but the EDP version of the above not only last longer is way cheaper and slightly better smelling imo.


This scent gets more men compliments than women 🤷‍♂️
But in a no h*** type of way.

Club De Nuit is close. It’s one of the recommended ‘copies’ of Aventus. I didn’t like it as much though. Lasted long as you said. A good scent, no doubt.

Try the Limited Edition EDP.
Also I like Aventus Cologne more than Aventus and it gets more compliments for me.

Jokes aside, what does it smell like?

My fresh new batch bottle of Aventus came in last week. I actually like the smell better. Not sure if it lasts as long as I haven't wore it yet.

Smells like CK1, CK2, but a tiny bit stronger. These CK colognes are more about a "clean", if not...dare I say "soap" smell than anything. They are indeed more universal. My wife said she is going to share it with me.
