Imagine if Sony didn't take the initiative to release more 1080p games, we'd probably see more sub-1080p games for another few years. It's a good thing this forces X1 to try and achieve 1080p as well.

"We’re working very hard right now to deliver PS4 and Xbox One in 1080p but I can’t confirm whether it’s possible. It’s probably easier for me to confirm it’ll happen for PlayStation 4, because it appears on this one we’re almost nailing it and pretty much there. For Xbox One though, it’s slightly tougher and we’re still working on it, so I can’t confirm that yet."

They are trying, when is the game releasing? If it not for awhile they just might get xbox one to 1080p. Just think we only 6months in this gen if Xb1 can get games coming out now at 1080p or close to it things will only get better once the 2 and 3rd wave of games come out and all this res BS will be put to bed.

This is a late 2014, so wouldn't these guys be able to take advantage of directx 12 and the new SDK?

End of 2014.

I think DX12 won't be in full effect until late 2015 or early 2016.

The new SDK not sure. I think they released it a few months ago didn't they? Then maybe.

I am still waiting for a game on PS4 to look as good as Ryse (which they had at 1080P, but chose 900P for more graphical features). Otherwise, it's just demos and promises.

I changed the sensational, and selectively click bait, IGN article title and don't really need a thread about every little resolution discussion. When we're near the launch of this game, which is around six months away, we can revisit it.
