Lou Reed dead at 71

Dunno who he is but am praying for the family. Sad to see a person go.

Didn't know much about him, but do know that he collaborated on a song with The Killers whom I really love. That song is:

Great song.

RIP

I saw him in concert a looooooong time ago. brought the house down.

It was such a perfect day, I'm so glad I got to spend it with Lou.

For people who don't know who he is to sum it up he was the lead in a band called The Velvet Underground who were a massively influential band in the 60's. Their biggest "hit" was Sweet Jane. But they weren't really influential because they had hits, but because they were incredibly original and quite experimental and had 4 incredible albums. They broke up by the end of the 60's and Lou Reed went solo. He had an awesome album called Transformer but most of his other solo stuff was s*** (imo).

Still, an absolute legend and I think people are just kind of shocked as I don't think anyone knew he was sick/ill/in poor health but hey he was 71.

He had a liver transplant in May. not sure that was the cause of death but sounds pretty major.
Are you kidding? Magic and Loss is a great album.
I think New Sensations is pretty good too. Not as great as Transformer but still pleasing to the ears.

He had a liver transplant in May. Not sure if that is related to his passing but I would venture to guess it probably did in some way
