Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater

Did they ever give a release date, or did I just overlook it?
 
Also, mgs3 was fantastic, especially story and characters, but the gameplay doesn't hold up imo.
Even the updated camera in subsistence doesn't really feel good today.
I've not delved deep enough into this remaster, but I don't think they've updated the camera and controls much?
