Just found out about it today. Seems to have thrown lots of people into anger simply because they're Muslim and it's 9/11. Muslims want to do it to show that they aren't members of Al Qaeda. Apparently 800,000 plus bikers are on the roads attempting to confront the marches. The picture is from some Facebook page promoting the biker rally. This reminds me of the time Muslims built a masque near the towers and so many felt it was disrespectful. Personally, I don't see it as disrespectful. These people are sick of being lumped in with one group and the whole thing is just a reminder of WW2 and our countries treatment of Japanese American citizens. Put them into camps, took their property and never returned it. Entire lives had to be restarted. Thankfully the government has moved more towards equality and people have confused that with discriminating against a party, religion, or the entire country as a whole. Just my opinion.

I see nothing wrong with the Muslim march. Lumping them in and hating on them because of the actions of fellow Muslims is stupid.
 
Wish I could've been there. Highway patrol put the bikers at 1 million+. It started as a counter protest to the muslim march. Now, I'm not against a muslim march but if you are going to march for anything then you have to be willing to deal with an opposing viewpoint. Apparently, the "million muslims" turned into about 20.

Pick any of the other 364 days available for your march, and most Americans wouldn't've even noticed.

Freedom of speech is a good thing to have. Something else that's good to have "common sense".
I'm racist because a group of Muslims march on Sept 11 , and I assume there tolerant or encourage our enemies.

I saw the little guy on Tv talking about a million muslim march for peace against the people promoting violence in the religion. I want to believe the kid, but I understand how these organizations raise money. They have to sell it to the middle east as some sort of triumph march and then loads of money starts pouring in.

I think if Muslims are concerned with their treatment since 911 they should stop blowing up marathons, shooting up military bases in Texas, and trying to hijack planes with under ware and shoe bombs.

In fact americanized Muslims should be leading the charge against that sort of thing.

there was to be 2 million bikers in response to 1 million Muslims march on 9/11
there were only 50 Muslims that showed up
and a little less then 1 million bikers.. very very pro American bikers
they plan on doing this every year
the bikers were denied park permits
the muslims got park permits
I do know a lot about the biker rally...
if the bikers had gotten permits they would have been in and out of dc in a matter of hours
but because they did not get the permits it took them the most of the day to get through the city

there are several US muslims groups who are "leading the charge against that sort of thing" .
you just don't hear about peaceful groups because peace is bo-ring

Oh right, because the islamists around the world are noteable for peacefully replacing their religus autocracies with prayer and hippy dippy chanting. Its not like they have been bringing their primitive backwards warlike ways to the USA and setting up sharia law courts in places like Boston and Detroit. In Europe cities like London, Paris and Berlin.

Yeah good luck getting Truckers to work together on anything. Just sayin because I used to drive an 18 Wheeler.

Besides, most truckers drive for a fleet. They go where the freight goes. Otherwise, I don't know how many Owner Operators are willing to burn up expensive Diesel just to clog up traffic in DC.

Ahhh gotta love the logic of liberals. Yeah man, the problem with terrorists is that terrorism has this whole stigma against it. We should eliminate that stigma like we did for homosexuality, single mothers and mental illness.

How is that whole removing the stigma against mental illness thing working out for those of you out in left field?

You suggested the actions of a few warrants the treatment of many. Nothing liberal about thinking that's stupid. Most intelligent people regardless of political affiliation would call you an idiot.
