Here is some new info on the Atari Box.

- crowdfunding starts this Fall
- launch Spring 2018
- capable of running games like a mid-range PC does, but not AAA games that require high-end PC
- Linux OS, AMD custom processor with Radeon graphics
- open system
- will run PC games; will also launch with large backcatalog of Atari games
- capable of doing streaming, running apps, browsing the web, and playing music
- priced at between $250 and $300

That's not attractive to me. I'm not nostalgic for Atari; I don't like crowdfunding; and the price seems too high.

I'd be a bit interested maybe if it played physical games.

I love the wood look for nostalgia purposes. A great throwback to the 2600. I can't see myself actually buying one though.

I have no idea what market they are trying to fill. I would not play any of those ancient 4 direction Atari games at all. They were amazing at the time... 30+ years ago.

Hate to be negative but nobody wants this thing. Sorry Atari. Now if they make a Panasonic 3DO mini that s*** is coming home with TD day one.
