LOL. Looks like everyone's favourite pro-Sony/anti-MS "insider" just got KO'ed.

Good on ND to call him out publicly to embarrass him. Easily among the biggest and blatant phonies out there which most people should have seen. And good to see ND not talk with him on PM. They could have done that in which he would just keep rambling with other fake insider stories. So for sake of the industry and gamers, ND did it in the open.

Not surprisingly, Thuway deleted the posts like the coward he is. And of course he pulled the old card of blaming sources for the misinformation.

The guy's Twitter is getting hammered. But give him credit, he's still as defiant as ever. lol

Insider Thuway exposed by Naughty Dog: "No Behind Closed Doors Demo of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End"
  • By Sehran Shaikh
  • Could not believe on all things these so called industry insiders says. Thuway aka Ahsan Rasheed just few hours ago tweeted that Naughty Dog is showing a demo of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End at behind-the-closed-door at E3 2014.
This turn out to be a FAKE news as Thuway received a reply from official Twitter account of Naughty Dog. You can read the conversation below:

Thuway: "BTW Uncharted 4 is being shown behind closed doors. I can't talk about it. The press is lucky tho. :)"

Naughty Dog Twitter: "No behind closed doors demos of [HASHTAG]#Uncharted4[/HASHTAG], trailer only. @thuway, appreciate it if you not create unnecessary work for us + our PR staff"

Seeing the response from Naughty Dog, Thuway replied:

"Sorry guys :( and Burned sorry ya'll :(.

UPDATE:
The conversation was deleted by Thuway, but not before we managed to take screenshot of it. Take a look at it below:

UPDATE 2:
Thuway has clarified: "Before you crucify me. I heard people had appointments with Naughty Dog. I jumped to conclusions and was wrong. Once again I apologize."

UPDATE 3: Naughty Dog's Arne Meyer has shared a message to all insider sources. Here is what it reads:

"Insider sources.

I really just got a few too many texts from friends and colleagues (not to mention media) asking to see the demo that it was interrupting the real work I had at E3 - not to mention making sure all those people knew there wasn't a demo and not that they were special enough to go see it and we were snubbing them.

Say what you want to say, but at least realize there is a cost and impact on people who have other important things to do for us and for other games, and this stuff doesn't help everybody do their best."

Before this tweet, Thuway also said Sony at the last minute pulled out announcement of one more big game at E3 2014 and he is not sure whether its "First Party/Third Party" title.

"Rumor is Sony had one more big game that got pulled last minute. Not sure if 1st / 3rd party, but Layden's speech was artificially elongated"

"Conversation is- Sony had one more thing to show, but didn't. Theories about why- your guess is as good as mine."

"I say it ONE more time- rumor. But there's a buzz about it going around. Talk about a turn of events."

So there you have it folks, to what extent we should believe these industry insiders you can make out from the response of Naughty Dog Official Twitter.

The most credible "insiders" are ntkrnl and shinobi. The others are spotty at best, or just making things up entirely.

Insiders are just false prophets who hang around Twitter. They know how to generate activity and attention, but that doesn't mean they speak a lick of truth.

I can't keep track of who's who. I always take what they say as rumor only. At least this Thuway fellow seems to have apologized for his mistake. It seems like a rather foolish one -- assuming that because "people had appointments with ND," that therefore ND was having a behind-the-scenes demo. I wonder how often that sort of thing happens -- an "insider" hears something, then jumps to a wild conclusion and reports it as "insider information."
