Confirmed?
I just know that the exclusivity deal was supposed to end a year from release. Thought we would have heard something by now
Is it near the end of a year since its release...

Released April 2020. So been a year and half almost.
Looking online Sony paid to extend the exclusivity by an extra 6 months... seems pointless to me
Had no idea this was announced. Bummed it will be PS5 first. Star Wars KOTOR 1 and 2 are some of my favorite games of all time beat each multiple times.
Hell Iâm still waiting on FF7 to hit XBox when is that thing ever coming?

Yea I think they renewed it when the PS5 (integrade?) edition came out.
oof. I mean I can understand why the execs at EA wanted Anthem to succeed. Essentially it would have been their Destiny but a remake of KOTOR done correctly ( See RE:2) would have printed money. So turns out Bioware had 2 choices a few years back.
Remake this or make Anthem.
Can only imagine someone at EA and Bioware lost some power considering how that decision turned out.
That makes me sad and angry. So turns out Bioware had 2 choices a few years back.

I don't want to play the old versions of most old games, something that looks modern and takes at least some advantage of the newest tech is just fine with me. I never played Demon's Souls but I liked the remake, never played Destroy all Humans but loved the remake, never played Alan Wake but I'll be giving the remaster a shot and I never played KOTOR, still not sure I will it all depends on how it looks.... but I thought nobody wants to play the old games anymore!
Anyway, annoying when something that started exclusive on 1 platform goes to the other, no matter which 1. That said, I will get a PS5 for this, along with PSVR2, so it's not like I won't be playing it. Still annoying to see SW going exclusive lately (Oculus getting 1-year deals on Vader Immortal and Tales from Galaxy's Edge)

Only because Anthem sucks. Nobody should really be bothered by them wanting to make something new instead of remaking one of their own games. That makes me sad and angry.
This is one game in history that could use a remaster/remake. This game and story should be experienced by all especially a new audience.Only because Anthem sucks. Nobody should really be bothered by them wanting to make something new instead of remaking one of their own games.
It didn't need to be done by Bioware. This is one game in history that could use a remaster/remake. This game and story should be experienced by all especially a new audience.
Makes me bummed they had a chance to do it.
One worry is we now have someone changing Biowares story

True because BioWare sucks now lol.It didn't need to be done by Bioware.
Every character will now be a woman or transgender.I can't seem them changing it too drastically, can you imagine the uproar? They might try modernize it in a way or even add a couple things.
Gone now anyway. And it was PC day one as well as only console timed. But looks like itâs RIP.Why is this even in the multiplatform section?
As far as I know, this is still PS5 exclusive?
Not coming anytime soon or at all.
"Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic" remake delayed indefinitely amid studio shakeup
A hotly anticipated new Star Wars game is in serious trouble, according to people familiar with the project. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, a remake of a 2003 role-playing game, is delayed indefinitely as developers at Austin, Texas-based Aspyr Media try to figure out what comes next. Aspyr also abruptly fired the gameâs art director and design director this month.â
