Maybe, but they could’ve been working on it before Wolverine, like they could’ve gotten the rights to him after the success of Spider-Man and they know that Wolverine could garner more attention and be used for recruiting new/more devs?

The Irony here is funny too. They are so quick to announce things they really shouldn't announce yeT, but you ask them for info on a game coming very soon and all they do is retreat and say later, coming soon, etc. lol.
What difference does it make? It was years a go. Even if they did what you said and switched focus to Wolverine, the original game was obviously nowhere near finished.
The very fact you can't tell if the two pieces of info are linked or not just bolsters my point.
Insomniac has always juggled a few games on their plate during development so I won't be surprised if there's already pre production started on another in light of Spiderman 2 and Wolverine being the main squeezes right now.
That's how they are able to get so many games out since Ratchet and Clank 2016. Their output rate is ridiculous when compared to many others in the industry.

Which is fine. The issue isn't them having 3 games on the go.
Just to clarify: This isn't just an Insomniac thing, it is industry wide. Hell the next Fallout has already been announced and will be a next gen game.lol.
