Are PC gamers just inherently cat people? LOL.
I have 2 cats that won't stop bothering me when I'm gaming.

Hebrews 9:14 brought me to a new perspective in JC
Build Link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QsNmrD

Budget :
$1600

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorant, overwatch 2, first party Xbox games, fighting games and indie 2d games

Other details

I already have a RX 6700XT GPU and Ryzen 5 5600X CPU.

I want to play at 1080P on a ultra wide screen above 60 fps and then if I play games like Valorant or Overwatch 2 at least 144fps. I would mostly play fighting games or indie games and eventually get into VR to play Half Life Alyx. Also have the option to play at 1444P 60fps on my TV if I want to play super casually .

What would be a good case recommendation? Lastly is my build ready to use Microsoft Direct Storage?

Thank you for your time.

I have this case. The best investment I've ever made for my rig and it is less expensive and out performs its competitors. Your build should be good for MS Directstorage. I have 2 970 Evo Plus in my rig too.

Tech Jesus approved too.

Love the Stranger things theme!

How are you liking your Ultra Wide monitor? I have been lightly mulling getting one for a few weeks now, simply because I am curious what playing games on it would be like.

Honestly...I can't imagine going back to anything else. Ultrawide 3440x1440p 160+hz is the sweet spot for the mid to higher end GPUs. 4k max settings is still prohibitive IMHO. The screen real estate is 🔥.

I would say go for it. I got the LG curved 34 inch 3440x1440p 160hz and it is sublime.

I'm not a fan of curved monitors but with an ultra wide I feel like the curve is almost a must.

Alienware does sell a OLED ultrawide monitor if that's your speed.

I previously gamed on a AW3418DW ultrawide and it was the best monitor I ever owned until I tried the LG CX.

Na OLED is too rich for my blood. I'd be fine with a nice IPS panel.
