For you & me, and majority of people here who are more passionate gamers, 100 bucks may seems not a lot. But for the majority of people, its massive, even if only in the mind.

I didn't buy my Wii U for 3rd party games.... The types of games I purchased it for I am still waiting for...sadly
if that's true....then me continuing to own one is hanging by a thread...
I need a Metroid,Kid Icarus,Zelda or Starfox announcement or strong rumor fast!
What if the PS4 sold that many because people were saying, "Oh man, the Xbox One hasn't launched in my country yet? Might as well just get a PS4 then since it will be months before the Xbox One launches here?"
The fact that you're trying to diminish the fact that the Xbox One sold over three million in a little over a month by saying people just bought them because they had no other options is just stupid.
I only know one person who made his initial choice on the price difference. And even he bought an X1 about two weeks ago. I think the majority of people knew well in advance that they were getting, regardless of the price. My playstation buddies over here would have still gotten a PS4 if it had been 500 and the X1 had been 400.

Sony is comfortably ahead and with the holidays over and PS4's more readily available expect the gap to stay/get larger.
I guess we will have to wait and see eh?
Relax my dude, it was all in good fun. I even put in a jab at me. However, if you "really" want to get real about, I come to all platforms defense, and enjoy all, and am realistic about them. You....you seem to just make stuff up and attack others for doing the same thing you do. It's like, you have a virtual boner for the sony brand.
Lol even in the same thread you're contradicting yourself. First people are so hard up to just buy something they'll throw around $500. But then it's "telling too much truths," that the $100 more is enormous.
call me a XB disser(very disappointment with the direction and the lame franchises) who strongly enjoys the PS brand more then the X1 but have and do attack crap when Sony puts it out.
There is not ONE Sony made PS4 game I can think of even coming that would get me that happy :-/

truth is my fav current platform is my pc/steam not the PS I just don't have Real Life friends who pc game so I don't do it much and I don't like the OT making pc elitist BS.
So what happens when Microsoft finally launches in the same countries that the PlayStation 4 launched in? To think the gap will continue to widen at this point nothing more than throwing darts. The PlayStation 4 sold more than the Xbox One because they had more consoles available overall in far more countries. We won't have a clue what the trend of gamers is until the markets are saturated which will be in a few months. The 4.2>3.+ speaks nothing other than Sony had more consoles available. The week headstart didn't hurt. Not 1 million hurt but it definitely swayed the numbers.
But your dissing is exceptional. You bash games based on third party opinion which is silly. You haven't played Dead Rising and you haven't played Ryse but you jump into threads quoting metacritic, digital foundry, blah blah blah and point out how games on PS4 are better. That's classic fanboyism.
It's the crazy/bs comments you make that makes it seem like you are in an affair with sony, like....

I played the better rated DR games and they are nothing more then goofy zombie killing games.
Ryse looks like garbage (gameplay wise) I don't like Rome based games unless fantasy is involved, its short and the expected low reviews ain't doing it any favors.
Still, you use third party opinion to bash games you haven't played. But I suppose that a symptom of the interwebz in general.

If you don't like me brining up counterpoints to your posts which take both sides into account, maybe forums aren't for you.
Maybe honest wasn't the best word, but to talk about how one of the consoles should be selling more while totally disregarding reasons how the other one could/should be selling more as well isn't the best way to compare things.

You're correct. Numbers don't lie. Sony launched in more countries with more consoles. Of course they would have sold more than a console that launched in less countries and had less consoles available. Like you said, numbers don't lie.

TXB has been my home for over 10 years. They are for me. Bring up all the counter points you want. Notice. I never said a single word about your counter points...I never said you were wrong (or right) about them. I pointed out what you posted incorrectly.
