I wonder if the 60 fps is the reason why the ps4 version of TR sold twice as much as the Xbox one version.
TItanfall won't move alot of mountains as people are expecting it to. It's a game that still has to prove itself and the 6 vs 6 thing put of alot of mindless COD drones who thought it was the next big thing to replace COD , it will sell alot but it won't sell consoles IMHO.
Let's wait until Titanfall releases before we crown the PS4. January was anyone's month and with Sony not meeting demand it's no surprise that every time a PS4 went on a shelf it sold. They're using Nintendo's approach with the Wii and it looks like it's paying off at the moment. Plus the PS4 is $100 cheaper. They're supposed to sell more.
Digital sales on the Xbox One would probably pull those numbers closer together. Not completely but I think it would be appreciably closer.I wonder if the 60 fps is the reason why the ps4 version of TR sold twice as much as the Xbox one version.
Think that's what he meant by full circle
The people who bought call of duty and battlefield bought for last gen consoles. It's sad to see so few people online in cod on X1.Does anyone think Titanfall is really going to sell a ton of consoles to people who didn't want to buy it for a new COD or BF game? it's a $500 console so it's likely going to be hard to have a sci fi shooter sell consoles to people who aren't the most hardcore and most of those people probably already have an X1. It may see a slight spike but the fact that it's a new IP also available on PC and 360 leads me to think it won't help sales in a meaningful way, at least not to the extent some people seem to think it will.
So it was okay for Sony drones to keep saying 'wait until this happens' all last gen with the PS3 and 'this is the year of the PS3' but it's not okay for Xbox fans to be optimistic huh?
The fact of the matter is that Microsoft is in a much better place right now than Sony ever was last gen. They've got the marketing down and all the heavy hitters.

Hence me saying full circle.
Oddly enough, X1 has had a higher software attach ratio over PS4 since day 1 despite being $100 more. You'd think with the extra money, they would buy more games. Yet, X1 costs $100 more and actually has a higher attach ratio. Go figure. When you buy a console for a $100 less, you can generally afford to buy more games. Am I right? And I'm only 99% sure the 60fps of the PS4 version created the added incentive for PS4 owners to double dip for Tomb Raider.

Yeah, i got you. So when Xbox fans say don't count your chickens before they hatch are PS fans going to be hypocrites and make fun of them? That's what PS fans did all last gen and the PS3 eventually caught up to the 360 in sales. So it's only fair that we wait and see what happens this gen right?

Well if anything it just shows how fickle gamers are and led by PR. First everyone loved the PS2, then the 360, now we're back to the PS4? All for what? Because of a little bad PR by Microsoft this time around? It's ridiculous how people allow themselves to be led by corporations instead of just choosing what they like.
If you like the PS4 more than the Xbox One, good for you. There's nothing wrong with that. I feel like the Xbox One is going to have the better games and that's evident by Microsoft's amazing launch lineup on the One. Titanfall is just a little fish in a big pond in the grand scheme of things. Yet, it's still a bigger release than the PS4 will have in the next year or so.
So baaaaasically like last generation when Xbox fans took every opportunity to remind Sony fans how f***ed their situation was? While posting those hilarious “wait for X” memes. Or is it magically different now?
I think that is largely due to Xbox One actually having good launch exclusives. Dead Rising and Forza >>>>> Killzone and Knack.Oddly enough, X1 has had a higher software attach ratio over PS4 since day 1 despite being $100 more. Not before September. I see a free game leading into Easter though.X1 price drop is surely coming soon.
September at the earliest.Yeah pack in at the least but a price drop by summer IMO.
I will stick with my guess if the sale difference continues to widen.
We could have a ace up our sleeves with Titanfall though
