Xbox One gamers have moved on. Its also been discontinued for about 2 years now.

Same concept with PS4 gamers. Noone really buys a PS4 anymore, these are just remnants of last gen holding on until they can upgrade but still interesting.

PS4s still selling on charts and 120 million out there vs 52 million Xbox One, which stopped sales long ago.

Oh NOW you say X1 sales are at low 50s. What happened to the over 60-65 million you were touting a couple years ago 🤔

The only chart I see it on is Japan really where it's competing fiercely with the Xbox Series 🤣 (couple hundreds)

I’m going by the reports from MS via their merger. You don’t like facts now? We didn’t have them. You had your estimates way below.

I was going off the Ampere analysis latest back , lo and behold their estimates were pretty good. I remember you slandering them back then too 😉

"While Microsoft hasn’t provided a concrete sales number for Xbox One, its admission means the company must have sold less than approximately 58.5 million units. That lines up with market research from Ampere Analysis in 2020, which put the install base of Xbox One at 51 million units at the end of Q2 2020."

Sony upped production of the PS4. People have definitely been buying them.

That was early 2022. Last reported number was and still is 117.2 million.

By summer 2022 they had stopped reporting anything much of it slowly letting it die off. It's all about the PS5 since then a year ago.

Yup, I was surprised. I assume because they were struggling with PS5 stock. But yup, Sony kept selling PS4's while Xbox One has been done for ages.

52 million vs. 120 million.

And I am going by merger reports.

117.2 Million vs 51-52 million. Give or take a couple million for both.

Still PlayStation gamers just buy more in general across the board.

Wonder how many consoles are active. Cause it damn sure isn't those numbers for either.

The Top 10 in Your Country is actually a new addition I haven’t noticed before. Unsure of what metrics they are using; most likely hours played… but over the course of how long? A day? A week? A month? Who knows.

This is new to the psn store. And for whatever reason it actually lists … 12. However, we finally have our first metric of what the most played games on PlayStation are.

Current chart toppers:

Diablo 4
Fortnite
NBA 2k23
Warzone 2
FIFA 23
Street Fighter 6
MLB
GTAV
Madden 24
Destiny 2
Apex
Madden 23

Excellent showing for both Diablo and SF6. sF6 has failed to even chart on Xbox top 50. Diablo with the heaviest Xbox series x bundle with raid shadow legends tier of YouTube content creator shilling has debuted at 6 on Xbox.

75% on PS platforms

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has finally lost its No.1 status in the UK Boxed Charts.

At four weeks, it is the longest time a game in the series has held the top spot. The Nintendo Switch release saw sales fall 36% over the week before.

That means the new No.1 is Activision Blizzard's Diablo 4. The game didn't sell particularly big numbers at boxed retail, and its launch week sits well behind Zelda, Hogwarts Legacy, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Resident Evil 4 and Dead Island 2. However, as a game that's particularly popular on PC, the vast majority of sales will be via digital download stores. We will receive the digital data later in the week.

In fact, only the console versions received a boxed release, and 67% of physical sales came on PS5, 27% on Xbox Series S and X and 8% on PS4.

Last week's biggest new game was Street Fighter 6, and it slips to No.5 this week with a relatively small 48% drop in sales.

Meanwhile, sales activity on PlayStation games, consoles and bundles have boosted sales of its big games, including first-party titles. God of War Ragnarok is up four places to No.7 (sales up 67%), Gran Turismo 7 is at No.9 (sales up 66%) and Spider-Man: Miles Morales has jumped 23 spots to No.16 (up 95%).

Here is the GfK UK Boxed Top Ten for the week ending June 10, 2023:

Not a single Playstation exclusive on there. Lol.

Now those stats are pointless.
I don't think they are true either.

He explains further in the thread the methodology they use to arrive at that conclusion, it doesn't seem very sound to me.

So in other words it isn't the best selling at all.

Is this what passes for journalism these days?

December is the hottest month of the year going by months starting with D, but with all other months added, it is 2nd coldest.

I could be a gaming journalist.

Are you surprised ? New games , free to play and sports games has always dominated the charts for their longevity. Narrative games are usually played at release for the first few months then slowly numbers dwindle overall.

Yes. Not a one. All you fanboys do is talk sales and the games don't even register. Lol. Yet you still try s*** talk Xbox:laugh:

Maybe more playing and less s*** talking on the intraweb.
