Reported 500k stockpiled units shipped to asia and 520k to USA this month and business analysts predicting 3+ mil by end of year is "wishful thinking built on a foundation of BS"? Okay, keep acting disgusting because I made a reasonable prediction. More useful sales data.
Keep taunting, insulting, and jeering at me over supply constrained sales like they really reflect the actual amount of demand from consumers. I suggest you wait a while longer for long term sales before doing that, but you've already jumped that gun.
I said they were going to hit 3 mil in December if they weren't there already, pending reported launches of stockpiled units. They can't launch in so many new countries by shipping out units as fast as they make them.
I never made a "3:2 prediction", I said long term sales will reflect the consumer metrics. I expect PS4 to start to pull ahead as supply increases and more demand is satiated. I'm pretty confident they're ahead globally, which is a reflection of the metrics.
consolewarz said:We don't know PS4's current global numbers but I wouldn't be surprised if they were closing on 3 mil or past it already. It's been 8 days since the 2 mil figure, time for plenty of sales. 3 mil to 2 mil = 66%/33% marketshare, aka the ratio reflected in most consumer metrics and business analysts predictions.
I actually missed that part of his sketchy "3M claim"..... "or past it already". LOLYou said in a post that you wouldn't be surprised if Sony had sold 3 million units.
You then made your weird totally wrong 66%/33% comment.
Aside from the fact that 3 million to 2 million isn't 66%/33% (lol), you certainly were acting like it was the current state of affairs. Where in that paragraph did you act like that was some future prediction?
After being called out on that repeatedly, you back-tracked to this "prediction for the future" stance.
And you didn't answer my second question.
If Sony is supposed to reach 3 million by the end of the year...
And MS was at 2 million on December 10th or so..
How in the world does that coincide with your 3:2 prediction?
Not sure why you are so mad. You've been a big "ratio war" guy for ages. Whether it's now or end of year, PS4 will surely have a ratio advantage. I knew right from the beginning PS4 would sell more (at least at the start). Never mind the price, PR or the fact PS4 sold in NA a week early...... just the country allottment alone is all I need to know. When MS is in about one-third the number of Sony, the chances of selling more is slim to none, as the likelihood of MS having the same or more manufacturing capacity than Sony who is going for a global spread is also slim to none. You are lying and fake quoting me over things I've never said. Deliberate and malicious lies. Obvious and disgusting trolling. You are either a troll or crazy.
You must be deliberately trolling over pre-DRM 180 figures by now, nobody can be this dumb after being corrected over and over.

It used to be overall sales, then key regional sales (NA, Japan, Europe), now individual country is the hot analysis.Arguing over sales from France. How did gamers fall so far. Ashamed you should be.

You never know, if the data is available, people might argue about neighbourhood sales....
(I heard from a friend that within a 3 block radius from my place, Xbox One has sold more than PS4.)
The consoles have been out for one month and the generation will probably last a good 7-8 years like 360/PS3. Going by that, this generation has only lived through a fraction more than 1% of its life cycle before next next gen starts around 2020.No kidding. Any sales, polling, or store availability data seems like reason to argue.
It's going to be a long generation... I'm going to go fix myself a sandwich.
Didn't you know France is the video game capital of the world? If you've won France you've won it all!!!!!!!11Arguing over sales from France. How did gamers fall so far. Ashamed you should be.

If you're going to bypass time making a sandwich, you might as well go full out and work from the bottom of the chain and grow the wheat, raise the pig, and grow the veggies yourself!

It's a hypothetical ratio GIVEN AS AN EXAMPLE, not a statement of fact or a prediction or anything like that. All I said was PS4 is close to 3 mil and compared that to the last known Xbox numbers, I never said Xbox stopped selling or that was an accurate number. Stop attacking me over things I never said. The most important sales number is global and PS4 is very close if not at 3 mil by now. They just added the total number of launch countries to 48 and sent 500k units to asian markets. They'll probably announce 3+ mil soon after that. 3 mil to 2 mil is close to 33%/66%, more like 40%/60%, but within the margin of error.
Same thing. I said it's close, or what I consider close, my opinion. I said PS4 is likely closing on 3 mil. I never said Xbox stopped selling consoles, and I never predicted or said 3:2 as a matter of fact. It's just an example of PS4 starting to pull ahead globally.PS4 selling 2:1 is close to what global sales look like right now and close to what most business analysts, vgcharts, and reasonable people have been predicting. MS apparently sold 2 mil globally and PS4 is likely closing on 3 mil.
Also, you try keeping every i dotted and t crossed when there's a mass of rabid animals making troll pictures, insulting, fake quoting, taunting, and jeering at you because they don't understand what "supply constrained" means.
It's hard to keep everything straight when there's literally a half dozen ignorant posters attacking and mocking you because they think "MS sold 2 mil = metrics wrong".
The metrics were 3:1 or 4:1 pre-DRM 180, a distinction I've pointed out many times that continues to be ignored. It changed to 2:1 post-180. It hasn't been 3:1 or 4:1 for a long time, but that doesn't stop posters like "intellivision" from flagrantly lying about "all the polls said 4:1 and they were wrong!".
PS4 selling 2:1 means 66%/33% marketshare. That's close to what global sales look like right now and close to what most business analysts, vgcharts, and reasonable people have been predicting. MS apparently sold 2 mil globally and PS4 is likely closing on 3 mil.
Yes PS4 is easily above 3 mil globally. There are shortages both due to higher demand, lack of supply, and wider global distribution. I expect an announcement of 3+ mil soon after the asian launch in a few days.
