So who out there uses a nutribullet?

I decided to stop being a fatass this year and start eating healthier and getting to a respectable weight.

So I bought a Nutribullet 900 Pro Series.

Been doing smoothies Mon-Fri once or twice a day for the last week and a half and eating a high protein/low carb dinner.

Already lost 5 pound.

Generally shoot for 60-70% veggies and the rest fruit.

The eventual goal is to get a vitamix haha, but those things are $400+.

Vitamix is the real deal, that's what I use. Well worth every penny if you are into liquefying stuff.

Ya, I saw a bunch of videos. Thing kicks ass. I want one once the nutribullet breaks.

I've got a Vitamix, but only because I own a small healthcare-related business so it was a business expense .
If you really want one, you can get a barely-used demo model off their website much cheaper, but still with the 7 year warranty. Also, if you check around online you can find a code for free shipping, which will save you 25 bucks also.
But regardless, it's a big investment, and the Nutribullet seems solid from what I've heard.
I play around with different types of smoothies, but I realized recently I wasn't adding enough water so they were coming out too thick. Also, I made some FireCider, and I add a shot of it to the smoothies......damn, such a kick! My bro-in-law stopped over the other day hacking his lungs out, and I gave him a kale-based smoothie with a shot of fire cider...and in about 10 minutes his hacking cough dropped about 80% and he could breathe through his nose. Great stuff, but be prepared for the heat!
If anyone is interested, there are lots of recipes/videos here (the lady is a little eccentric but so what): http://www.greensmoothiehabit.com/video.
Also, congrats ZombiesRUCrazy , good to see someone taking a proactive approach..I wish more people would do that.

That's awesome zomb. Keep going.

I'm not big at all. But I stopped going to fast food places and lost 15 pounds since the summer.

I want to get a juicer too. Soda is making me feel ill lately.

Nah, but I'm able to buy lots of health stuff wholesale :txbcool:

As far as soda replacements go, I like seltzer with natural flavors, or even Zevia (stevia based, no calories).

I went to this fantastic vegan restaurant in NYC (expensive as Hell) called Candle 79, and they made their own ginger ale. It's low cal and great tasting, and someone finally posted the recipe here: http://thewaytoonesheart.blogspot.com/2011/06/homemade-ginger-ale.html.

I know lol, but knowing my family's health problems, especially on my mom's side, figure it's time to do something about it now before it becomes a real problem later.

Dat what they teaching you in that sissy school of yours? You ain't down with us no more! YOU AIN'T FAT!!!

Why do people underestimate the pow-ah of the fruit?
I think people actually underestimate the power of water the most. Start drinking only water for a while and as long as you have a somewhat healthy diet and do some form of physical activity, you'll probably lose weight and definitely become healthier.

But fruit has vitamins water on the other hand doesn't.

Don't get me wrong water is also important but the body needs vitamins as well.
