DLSS3 is turning out crazy performance.

Except there's no way to cap framerates with it, it has to run flat out without vsync or frame cap, and as soon as the framerate skyrockets out of your Gsync Monitors refresh range you will get terrible screen tearing. That's not good IMO.

Would it be better to get the nvidia one or a different brand? Are there any major trade offs, pros cons to either one?

Can't go wrong with either. I go 3rd party for the overclocking capabilities. They usually use higher quality components for their best cards for overclocking. Better cooling too. But the nvdia's 4090 has great cooling also and it's better than expected.

The spaces between realities!
You might not have a choice.

But if a choice exists... get custom non NVIDIA made one.
I would keep a eye on Aorus and Asus.

This time it seems the AIB cards are a waste:

"Founders Edition Cards waaayyy more competitive and even besting AIB cards"
-Hence why EVGA left.

Not to mention the 4080 12GB marketing mess. They got so much blowback that they "unlaunched" it. LMAO. I hope AMD takes them to task this gen.

A Q&A by GN with Nvidia engineers. Very informative. These guys really put in a lot of work into the design. How will 3rd party manufacturers respond?
