How do you get it? I have 3 maps and none of them is Ruins, supposedly this is the bonus map. Also don't have the sword.
For the physical version, there was a code in the box. I know I have the sword because I equipped it, but I have no clue about the map.

FYI, the cars from the day one thing aren't showing up for many of us in the Forza thread. No one seems to know what's going on.

God of War director leaves Sony Santa Monica for Crytek

http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news...=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+egmnow/mheh+(EGMNOW)

According to his LinkedIn account, he’s joining Frankfurt-based Crytek as game director “on an unannounced project,” with “more info coming in the future.” Scuttlebutt says this may well be Ryse: Knights of England, the rumored follow-up to Crytek’s Xbox One launch title, Ryse: Son of Rome, and the connection does make sense

I finished Ryse last....all I can say is.. for me this is game of the year.If this game was on PS4 I would have gotten 9's.

GOTY is probably stretching it, :) but I agree with the sentiment. It is a really good game, unworthy of all the bashing.

By the way, I'm replaying the game on the hardest difficulty and can't get past the part, shortly after landing in Britain (and after destroying the chain link tower), where the enemy has a buttload of spear chuckers on the roofs of a couple buildings. Sorry for a lack of a better description, but you'd know what I'm talking about if you've tried it. It's insanely hard. Anybody know how to kill all those dudes before the troops are overrun?

I went digital, and so far have none of the day 1 content - nothing for Forza or Ryse. Little disappointed, as I thought MS would have DD's covered, considering how things started. Oh well, it's small stuff in the end. The games are awesome, so I'm still a happy man!

The reviews of this game absolutely do reveal the biases of the garmes journalizm media. They can pretend that they don't have them all they want, but we know the truth. I would even be more accepting of their biases if they would just admit them. But the Kotaku article today I think exposes their particular bias. (Like has anyone at Kotaku even played the game? If they had they would have shown off the naked titties of the seer girl instead of the boobies they did show) While all through the article they were dripping with the idea that the particular scene they showed was the raciest this game gets (for those of you who havent played the game gets much much racier after this).

But there is ~absolutely~ no question, this is the best looking game so far. Nothing on any other console, or even PC (Ohhh but dat pc rezolutions!!!) even approaches what Crytek has accomplished here.

This game is literally in my library for when I've got the time to sit down on my own with it, I appreciate how good this game looks and I want to experience this game properly, I cannot wait.

Before that I am nailing DR3 with one friend, Lego Marvels with another and BF4 with two friends online.....the odd FIFA 14 game here and there too!......life is good!

I'm actually really starting to hope I get this game for Christmas. Impressions here have me very hopeful.

Depends on how you look at it. If you're looking at strictly what you see on screen without taking into consideration what is going on, then maybe, but games like BF4 on ultra on pc easily beat out Ryse in terms of visuals/technical prowess.

I can easily say it is superior to the God of war 3. They repetitive nature of this type of title should be expected and it wasn't too bad. They mixed it up well and the voice commands are a huge + and worked flawlessly imo.

Graphically the character models (though few for some) and set pieces are jaw dropping for a launch title. I'm already done with COD ghosts and Forza5 is great but Ryse is the funnest launch title since Halo CE imo.

That's par for the course with reviewers.....people reviewing genres that they're not really in to. These games should be reviewed by folks going into the genre knowing what to expect.

Expectations are crazy high too, when you see a game that looks as good as Ryse, it needs to be an rpg, open world, 10000 AI, 7000 weapon types and everything needs full customization...wait that does sound awesome! why isn't Ryse like that? lol, it is a solid, fun game though, so glad I didn't let the reviews pass me off on it

Exactly for a title that began it's life as a 360 game Crytek deserves praise not slams for their accomplishment.

However, despite all the technological finery on offer, the limited and repetitive gameplay make Ryse difficult to actually recommend as a prospective purchase. That said, if you really want a taste of what we can expect from the next generation of consoles, Ryse towers over the rest.
