But yet no ps4 exclusives are 1080p lock 60fps. Couldn't even lock last gen games like TLoU that ran off 8 year old hardware.

Now that Xbox is getting all these 1080p titles, resolution no longer matters I bet?

We might have gone full circle back to gameplay matters. That has my vote.

I wasn't even aware of that article, but let's not forget that nothing in terms of resolution for MGS5 on Xbox One is set in stone. So let's wait with these downgrade talks. And downgraded in what ways? Compared to the very first gameplay video?

I think they had to downgrade certain assets that they had shown because the fetish collectible figurine they made kept falling over forward when made to the game's specs.
 
i am very glad for the confirmation of this, i cannot play footy games on a DS4. and since PC version is dumbed down its great i dont have to deal with 720p. i would have been fine with 900p but 1080p is icing on the cake, hope it didnt come at the cost of frames or visual effects
 
I do post on neogaf, yes. Lot's of inside information from developers since actual developers post there plus I really enjoy the off topic side. Don't like that they have a bias for the console that is not your console of choice?

One would think a "nexus of hardcore gamers" (lol) would be above bias to any console to the point where they are allowed to come into threads about a console they hate and s*** as much as they want with no repercussions from the mods there, and why would they do anything. Half the time they encourage and sometimes join in the s*** posting. I mean who goes gets mad at the prospect of a console you don't own running a game at 1080p? Who does that? As for devs posting there, not as much as there used to be most got off that site ages ago, Frankie has patience that i have to admire. Dealing with them, in his place i would have told them to f*** off ages ago.

The way they basically banned Halo gaf was bulls*** too, and they had a bulls*** reason for doing it as well. Damned shame as there are a few cool people on Gaf but most of the more interesting posters were either banned for not going along with the hivemind or just said screw it and stopped posting there.

If there was a referee working this thread there surely would have been a few yellow cards drawn and maybe a red or 2 also. It is an odd match though as the goalposts have been moved up to midfield yet nobody is scoring. :grin:
 
If the game is built for dx12. That's how I know you don't know what you are talking about. You think because the xb1 is updated to use dx12, all games are automatically dx12?

Like I said above, Fable Legends is the first dx12 game to hit the market, a month after mgs 5 comes out. Forza 6 and Halo 5 aren't even using dx12.

You do not have to build a game from the ground up to take advantage of parts of DirectX 12. Plus, Metal Gears Solid 5 is a cross-generation game (PS3 and XBOX 360).

These games are cross gen. It being 1080p on Xbox One has a bigger impact on PS4 than the games coming to PS3/360? Heh, okay.

I'm very happy, don't know why you assume otherwise. The amount of games coming out for the restof the year is nuts.

We'll find out in about 6-7 weeks which is the truth in terms of res.

and what they doing to do this resolve, sure AMD/Nvidia/PS4 never posted resolve rate, instead they are powerfull so they instead posted fill rate
