I've played way too many of these.
People who complain about day 1 patches should spend a few hours back in the day trying to get these games to even run on a PC.

V2? Hmm. I had putzed around one afternoon on the site maybe six months ago, and it was pretty cool then. At some point I will have to find out what the names were of a couple of games I had played in the late 80s/early 90s and never got to finish when my PC crapped out, so I can go back and try again, because when your backlog is this big why limit yourself to recent stuff?

And I wonder what young gamers would do if they plugged in a Gravis gamepad and saw the cpu just got 20% of its power sapped away.
And if the dev was kind enough to do a patch, you had to send in a warranty card and they send you a new disc in the mail 4-6 weeks later.
Or if you wanted a patch for a popular game, you waited for a PC game mag 2 months later that had a disc. It came with demos and patches. And hopefully your game had a patch on it.
Tried it the other day. It works, but since the games are not cracks, the password screen still comes up. Wanted to give Wayne Gretzky Hockey 3 another shot, since my old PC back in the day wasn't powerful enough..... the game comes up. Wow, nice and fast. Shiit, password screen.... input the word on page xxx, row xxx.
Are the passwords cracked though? I randomly guessed one and it let me in. Either the games are cracked or I got very lucky.

That's this week, but next week when the Metamucil check clears and you switch your avatar, you'll be a child of the 60's and too old to play these again.
Dang. I it's crazy how many of these games I've played. I'm guessing like 70%-80% of them. I guess i was a much bigger gamer in my youth than I remember
You're right, the copy protection isn't cracked. I must have just made an amazing guess on one.
I probably have these manuals all sitting around somewhere. I bet you can google them too.
I'm sure I have a box of those copy protection wheels sitting around my house somewhere.
