I can’t recall exact details, but I think they were at the end of their contract and in order to continue the MLB(A?) would only give it to them if it was on more platforms. I think that’s with all MLB licensed games moving forward. But I think the MLB published the game on other platformsWhy did the Show go multiplatform?

Sony Should Be Putting All PlayStation Exclusives On PC, Day One
Sony has nothing to fear regarding PlayStation sales. They have never had a console generation that has tanked in sales, and demand for new PlayStation consoles has only increased in time, with the PS5 only failing to set records because supply can only meet a tiny fraction of demand.www.forbes.com
Totes….I feel like I’ve been saying that all along for most games even the ones on GP. Japanese devs kinda have it the worst/hardest since it’s something they’re either not a custom to or they just hand it off to someone else and they’re just playing catch up and in the end they rarely if ever patch what they port to pc.If it hinders game development and time then I say focus on console first then port to PC later.
You're seeing more and more delays these days because it takes more time and resources to release on multiple platforms day 1 straight from Remedy devs' mouth. Especially with working at home more often with COVID, this will prolong the development time even more.
