This is wrong and Why PS5 will actually have exclusives unlike XSX.
PS exclusives are why they dominate.

Bulls***. However many millions they make from their exclusives would be even more if they also sold them on PC. Hardware is low profit margin too, especially when you add in the billions in R&D they precede the console launch. The reason to be in the console game is to make money, and the reason games cost more in general ok console is the platform cut. If Call of Donkey Punch sells 10 million retail units on PS5, that's $100M in Sony's pocket. The better exclusives are what gets people into your ecosystem so you can keep getting that money from them.

Nobody knows about the load times of the XSX yet with their custom NVME and Velocity.
More to the point, nobody other than the people who have them knows anything about either solution's performance other than theoretical max on bulk read operations. GB/sec is a loading measure, but what matters for fresher to frame performance is how quickly it can find the specific MBs it needs and load those when needed.

I have some pop rocks.

Exactly!

Every generation is the same way. Again, I'm not saying the tables can't turn because they can, but it is always Microsoft with the loudest voice -- even bringing Sony into a lot of their conversations for some reason, while Sony sits on the sideline quiet as kept waiting to show their hand, and every single time do these guys come well prepared for battle. But like i said before, Sony isn't on top because it was given to them; they took it. To me, this shows a very formidable competitor and ultimately, the Xbox camp knows this despite what is said.

He said wait for sales. The kind of numbers MS doesn't give anymore. So, how can we use that to see?

I think the people who dismiss the PS5's SSD speed as just meaning shorter load times are really underselling what Sony has done, they wouldn't have spent the time and money to do this just to shave a few more seconds off of loading than MS does.

In Cerny's key note, he mentioned something about the SSD being so fast that you were able to load so many gigs of data on screen during a simple turn while in game. From there, i knew it went beyond load screens as it was being portrayed by others. It also explained why the Spider-Man tech demo was used (albeit on a very old dev kit) when they were racing through the level at vast speeds. You are not only loading cut scenes; you are loading worlds on the fly.

LoL!

Well, i guess that explains it, right? :)

No but really,...it's best to watch these kinds of tussles play out rather than buying into all the hyped up marketing. I've seen it far too many times before, and it's never changed -- even now. A great example of this is Nintendo. These guys are doing their own thing and have been doing so for quite some time now, yet they are yielding exquisite results, and it didn’t take a lot of talk or marketing to achieve it neither. It took old fashioned providence. So you see what i mean? Just because your rival doesn't say much, doesnt mean that they aren't prepared. Sony takes a lot of risks. Nintendo takes even more BOLD risks. Microsoft is not what I'd like to place in the risk taking department. Muscle is great, but taking risks in a constantly evolving market, often than not, paves the way for muscle. This is what i have yet to see, and I am still waiting on it.

This kinda goes back to what i mentioned not too long ago about static gameplay. Graphics are great, but graphics get old really, really fast. This doesn't determine fun factor. Yet. it has been beaten to hell and back since the dawn of the 3D era. If your strategy is heavily reliant on graphics and static play, that market may not hold up for very long, not with the market evolving. Therefore, innovation is key

I don't care about the tussle. I just thought his comment was funny in the current situation.

I don't think Sony takes bigger risks anymore either. On the hardware side they are similar. On the software side Sony just had more studios to do it with.

I agree on graphics. Gameplay is ultimately what keeps us playing. Don't really get the static gameplay point relative to the discussion. Neither sides big exclusives really broke a mold or took risks in that department. Perhaps you mean more like VR, which is fine, but its limiting tech and fairly low popularity make it more nich and not really a massive boon or loss either way...that could change nest gen, though.

I wonder if they are going to go ALL out with PSVR 2.0 during this debut. As in, like double down.

Unlikely. Didn't they say no PSVR 2 at launch? I imagine this talk wiil come next year.
Oh, maybe they did say that. I am not a VR fan, but I know they are the best VR option out there...regarding sales at least.

Nope
Ask MS how bad it's console and game sales have suffered since they went this route.
Oh wait you can't because they are to scared to show those lower numbers.
f***ing switch passed XB already.
PATHETIC!

Hardware can be attributed to other factors, though. Trying to imply it is because their games are on PC is a bit disingenuous.

The software space is more convoluted. Even if overall units sold are down there profits could be higher. We have no clue how much gamepass is making. 10 million users at 10$ a month, lots of money here.

Have console sales slowed since putting the exclusives on PC? Check
Are the sales SIGNIFICANTLY worse than the previous gen? Check
Did Switch come out years after and surpass XBO in sales? Check

Bonus! Did the quality of exclusives go down since bringing games to PC and Switch and gamepass released? Check

Selling almost half of what you did the previous gen is healthy?
ROFL
Around 47 million is nothing to shake a stick at albeit not PS numbers of course. So keep ROFL I'll stand by what i wrote.

Plus they had a really s***ty console with a really s***ty launch.

LOL It is terrible in comparison to the previous generation.
s***ty launch but according every XB fanboy the XB fixed that years ago and has been the best console this generation.
So that doesn't work either.

But you are ignoring everything else to make your point fit.

Yes, I do think exclusives quality has dropped.
