Honestly, it's a far cry from anything they've done before design wise. Every console (except first gen ps3) they've done have similar design, this looks so sci-fi that I'l be surprised if true about final design. Not yet.
I might be in the minority but I think that 'V' is ugly as hell.
*Still going to get the console Day 1, but I like the 'Fridge' Series X design more*
UGLY and cumbersome that was.I’m just glad the half finished pyramid design is gone.
Sums up the recent info pretty well:
so, more power equates to less or no games because BC?
*looks over at pc and laptop and whispers* what have you done?
Depending on how similar components are for MS, they may very well be dealing with the same scarcity issue as Sony. We may have just not heard of it.Ha! Nah, it just seems like in order to ensure BC, they had to stick with a similar HW architecture to PS4/Pro. MS is doing BC on the software side, so it’s easier for them to go with a new HW setup.
It wouldn’t have been as much of an issue if they could hit the $399 price they *apparently* originally intended. And at at least $100 less than what XSX is probably going to cost, that would be a decent trade off. Sony studios can do magic, so the power difference wouldn’t matter much if the costs were so different.
But with the costs going up, now it’s looking like they’ll have to charge more. Maybe. So if you’re an executive, what do you do?
I mean, it’s going to sell well either way, but if a gamer is on the fence, and the XSX offers allegedly significantly more power for the same price, that will sway more than a few people. Probably.
Or do you charge $100 less and take the loss on each unit to ensure more people choose your system?

doubt thisor they could be ahead of the game and secured them before Sony couldsource them out for the ps5. But those rumors state they may be using other brand/maker for specific parts, they do have a really good relationship with the likes of Samsung and apparently now phision (that’s probably not how you spell it lol) oh or if ya want more tin hat speculation then they coulda swayed said suppliers like they supposedly did with the 360.
Seen this yesterday reported on a few sites. A 4 CHAN leak

PlayStation 5 vs. Xbox Series X: Alleged devkit specs leak and Xbox updates online presence with new console image
Some fresh specifications supposedly linked to devkits of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X have been shared online. Although many have already dismissed the information as fake, the consoles seem evenly matched in devkit form. Xbox has also updated its Twitter and Facebook accounts with an...www.notebookcheck.net
Latest rumor on Twitter seems to point to xbox being 12.4 tf with the ps5 around 8.9 tf. Also seems that ps5 bc and ps account migration are going to gimp what's already weak specs.
