Huh? I legit just got a MS expansion card for Christmas, it was MSRP. 219.99. I did not see it any cheaper anywhere. The MS solution has been on sale for $168. And the price has already dropped and will continue to.

Sorry I didn’t mean MSRP. Just the price on sales.I understand it being on sale occasionally but you said the price already dropped. The MSRP never dropped. Regular every day pricing is still 219.99 for 1TB.
Never saw this and if it happened it was a one time deal. The MS solution has been on sale for $168. And the price has already dropped and will continue to.
No games? Are we talking about Xbox or PlayStation? No games. No portability and no friends or family that has one. They all have Series X and S.
You probably missed it. It was on sale again for like $180 something as well. Keep your eye on twitter, Wario64 posts them if you follow there.Never saw this and if it happened it was a one time deal.
I am a dad who looks for deals and that thing hasn't had any decent discounts.
Take your wars to the proper thread, thanks! No games? Are we talking about Xbox or PlayStation?

What incentive do other SSD makers even have to make an SSD that only works with one product? IF/when MS's deal with seagate ends how many other companies are going to want to spend money making SSD's that only work for xbox? How many would want to spend that much money to compete for a small pool of potential customers? I don't see any incentive really. The PS5 happens to use parts that were already being made regardless of Sony using them or not, there is a reason to compete in the PC space for SSD's but for xbox users only? I don't see it. It would be the same for Sony if they had gone proprietary. Last gen it was cheap, just throw an xbox or PlayStation shell on an existing external SSD, it cost pennies, but this is totally different. Not the same. The Retail MSRP pricing for the PS5 options will be much more competitive and fierce since there are so many companies trying to fight for your business. Add to that, new SSDs coming out that will be faster and faster will push prices down even further. There's no competition for the proprietary options as far as I know. Is it still only Seagate making the proprietary options or did more get added now? I thought they were supposed to come out last year already?
I believe this is the real reason only Seagate makes drives. What incentive do other SSD makers even have to make an SSD that only works with one product? You did miss the sales apparently. No need for you to be upset, they will be on sale again. Just follow Wario64 on twitter so you don’t miss out.I doubt that I missed it and if I did...it was one time but I still doubt this.
Also $180 isn't $169.
