...maybe, and any other device, besides PS Tv and Samsung TVs.

Evidence continues to point to a future where the next major video game war will not be fought over console hardware but rather the ability to put a new gaming experience in the hands of almost any consumer regardless of what device they use. The solution for this strategy lies in the cloud which allows platform holders to stream video games from their servers to players using anything from a traditional console to a Smart TV or even a smart phone. In fact, both Google and Microsoft are preparing to launch their own their game streaming services next year. Naturally our eyes turn to Sony who had actually launched a game streaming service years ago but has been very quiet about as of late. It appears that Sony is indeed preparing to expand their game streaming service called PlayStation Now to a wide variety of devices. A recent job posting on Greenhouse says that Sony Interactive Entertainment’s cloud engineering team is working towards “putting console-quality games on any device.”

This just says any device, which usually means mobile devices like Tablets & phones. Not seeing a Switch reference here.

If that’s the case then I want to pause my game of “the last of us 2” and continue playing it on my Samsung fridge, in its native portrait display and no checkerboards, while I heat up my leftover pizza, please and thank you.

But Phil did state, two E3s ago, that he wants you to play on any device too...so I’m expecting to play halo infinite on my Apple Watch whilst in the restroom at work.

Your sarcasm is funny.

Key words, "console-quality video games on any device." Funny how you think that instantly means on a console that is already doing console-quality games.

Thank you, sometimes (read most) of the time I forget to add a lil not or /s at the tail end and I can’t change the font/legend to courier via my phone.

But why not have console quality games on “any device”, it should include other consoles, especially if said consoles is/are older/newer than from which they originate? In a way it’d be like running a dual boot on a computer, I love me my Mac but my pc hardware is better and Final Cut Pro is my jam, sorry premiere.

And what is console-quality games in this day of age? KOTOR, Infinity Blade, Crazy Taxi, and Fornite play just as good on my mobile.

What is? How about Metro Exodus, Battlefield 5, Last of Us, Forza Horizon, etc.

Here is the thing, I am not saying consoles can't be included in "any device." But you jumped straight to a modern console, which is the least likely platform being targeted.

You have a point, they should target the next gen Switch (Super Switch). I apologize if I’m coming across in any ill manner, having trouble sleeping, it’s like four in the morning >,<
