Playstation Plus

At least I haven't played either of the 2 games this month. I almost bought NFS a few weeks ago for $5 when it was on sale.
 
The story in NFS is so awful. I had to adjust the sliders for music and speech all the way off. I haven't tried the Vampyr game yet.
 
Last month's games were trash. I'll at least try out JC4 for a few hours.

These get worse and worse each month. Whenever there's an actual good game to get, I already own it.

Nice, I had Maneater on X1X but not PS4, glad I can play it with visual upgrades for "free" I was interested in Greedfall but always forgot about it, will be giving that a go for sure.

Maneater is a ton of fun, has a free next gen update too (4K, 60fps, HDR). The dev did an AMA today on Reddit and confirmed that a ray tracking patch is still planned and coming, but they're trying to become more familiar still and aren't ready to estimate a date. They keep hinting DLC / additional content is being worked on as well.

Maneater does look quite a bit better on PS5 than X1X but it's still not an amazing looking game. I do wish they'd give us a great white skin or megalodon skin without the cartoonish stuff added on top of it, would also love to play as a Killer Whale as DLC :)

Some of the later areas of the map are beautiful (and should look pretty insane with ray tracking), but I definitely think it's strange they put the ugliest areas in the game right up front. I'd love a standard great white skin too, would be incredible if they could somehow license a Jaws related DLC.

I'm happy this game seems to have been relatively popular for Tripwire, hopefully having it on PS+ gets more people to buy the DLC when it comes. I loved Killing Floor 2 (which still seems to have players), it's cool to see a small dev like them do their own thing and be successful.

Of course I had just purchased Greedfall during the holiday sale. Oh well I've enjoyed their games so no problem supporting them.
 
Greedfail is the worst game I've ever played on the PS4. Games like that make me want to box up the console and leave it in the closet. Even as a PS+ game it's terrible.

Bad as in graphically? Or just the game itself? I have it downloaded on my PS5 but never started yet.
 
I don't expect much. The devs are a solid AA at least with Bound by Flame and Technomancer.
 
Apparently Maneater is only free on PS5, meaning you can't even grab it if you only have a PS4. You can go online to the Sony store and add it to your library though (recommend doing that so that the game will be available when PS5s end up in stock again).

It came out around the tail end of 2019.

The publisher 505 Games is making bank on this game. I purchased it for PS4, then later on it came out that the publisher was charging to upgrade for nexgen so I repurchased it again for Xbox when the version with all the dlc and upgrade went on sale. Then it hit Gamepass and now the publisher is getting more money, this time from Sony for its PS+.

Gotta hand it to the publisher for milking the hell out of this game. But you can be sure I'll remember their moves and most likely won't purchase any games from them that are not on sale and/or discounted.
