Nairobi, Kenya (CNN) -- Armed gunmen waged a tense standoff with Kenyan police and soldiers inside an upscale Nairobi shopping mall early Sunday, hours after brazenly gunning down shoppers, diners and others.

Bodies still littered the lobby and ground floor of the Westgate Mall around 10:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. ET), more than 10 hours after the attack began, according to the Kenya National Disaster Operation Centre.

I saw this on CNN earlier. The number of deaths is staggering. What is wrong with people? :sad:

I guess modernity, civilization, commerce, and general well being and happiness are displeasing to Allah.

I mean for real.... they see an area where people are entering the modern world enjoying conveniences and maybe even Air Conditioning. Oh noes. f***ing extremists must ruin it.

Has nothing to do with this particular attack which is in response to military action.

Pathetic attack but the motive is rarely the simpleton stereotypes we are fed.
 
Has got to be one of the worst mass shootings in terms of amount killed. At least in recent history. Just terrible... :sad:
