PS4 = Which is the Best Current Game

Gamers suck. They follow a gaming trend. If it ain't part of "the gaming trend" they have no interest. I haven't seen anyone mention Contrast and a few people mentioned Trine 2/Warframe.

No trend here, most games just aren't good.... I've been playing since before most people were born here so I think I can form a fair opinion (key word).

Way back on my computer to the first Atari to everything after. When Halo came out on Xbox finally (after it's long history on Computer development) I simply felt it was one of the best console shooters ever, truly created a genre for video game consoles that took it to the next level.

Fast forward to Killzone on the PS3 and many people wrote it off as a clone. Not until Killzone 2 did I feel the series was unique and had it's own identity. While descent I never really thought it was better than other fps, I mean the graphics always looked good but gameplay will always be King.

So in the meantime after that Call of Duty took the crown and ran with it. Wasn't graphics, just pure addictive gameplay and it worked. Nothing like getting into a game for 10-15 mins, getting a quick Kill Streak and completely dominating, that sense of power is what I feel allowed the game to reach the level it did.

Problem with Call OF Duty to me was, just the same thing, nothing really knew and the series while still good just really failed to keep innovating or at least push the game technically to another level. This is where Battlefield comes in, I think it took the best and just made it better. Excellent graphics and technology to match it's immersive gameplay.

BF4 is in my strong opinion what I as a gamer have wanted since forever, while not perfect (no game is) I think it's the best representation of what can currently be done with public technology.

Killzone lacks polish, feels rushed and the multiplayer just confusion and a Hot Mess. Simple things like climbing a ladder require the press of a button (wtf???) and the movement just doesn't feel fluid, weighted awkward physics and too low of viewing angle. Maps lack creativity don't really feel immersive with way too much restrictions on the borderlines.

I could keep going on, but will end it here. Really ashamed at PS4's flagship FPS game.........

Killzone and Call of Duty are part of the gaming trend (regardless of taste) and titles like Contrast are over looked. I have been a gaming since the nes so I have a pretty good idea of how things changed. People were less picky and more open minded to new experiences and ideas.

I don't get the complaints about pressing a button to climb a ladder. Seems a bit overblown to me.

I can't remember the last game to ever do this, makes no sense...... If I go up to a ladder and press up on the joystick it's just a Video Game law that your character should go up. I mean that's like switching the Trigger buttons to the Face ones, you just don't do that......

Also can anyone please explain to me why they still HAVE'NT addressed your Midget low angle view?

I got rid of the game, but man I'm still so pissed because I went through a messed up week trying to get the PS4 and games to only be so mad to sell it for an Xbox One with No games (WTF), so I have no idea how games are on Xbox One since I have none.....

I thought Killzone was an amazing game that would have brought faith to PS4, but man I was seriously let down. All the pretty graphics in the world don't mean anything with shat gameplay.

I had no idea this was a law of some kind. Certainly never got upset when a game had me press a button to interact with a ladder. Just seems so very meh to me as a complaint. It's not all like switching the trigger buttons to the face ones.

I don't think he's trolling it's just an honest opinion, everyone's different and entitled to their own. I for example dislike the Battlefield genre, I have only ever played 4 I own it on the Xbox 360 (It's gathering dust) and Xbox One (I really wanted to give it a chance, I even bought it at the PS4 launch but returned it) the latter will be sent back tomorrow morning; it's in it's shrink wrap still, I just cannot get over how bad it was on the Xbox 360. I only ever play the campaign, so I'm judging it based on purely that, the Ghost's campaign on the other hand although short was very good fun and I prefer it to Battlefield 10 fold.

I've completed 3 chapters of Killzone and it's things like finding all collectables that's keeping me entertained and prolonging each chapter it's taken me on average about 2 hours to do 2 and 3 separately. I can only ever play it once every 2/3 days though (through choice).

What didn't you like about BF4 multiplayer?
