From Michael Mumbauer's (former Studio Head/Senior Director of Visual Arts) LinkedIn:

His latest achievement is having built a brand new, all-star, AAA Action/Adventure development team for Playstation. Based in San Diego and utilizing proprietary engine technology, **this team was assembled to expand upon existing franchises** and craft all new stories for the next generation of gamers

You know, when they first debuted the new DS5 controller, I wasn't a fan of the white. They released black mockups in the wild, and I was like...they should be like that! However, this white controller has grown on me, and I actually like it more than the black. The console is still a nightmare though. I think I would like that in black so it is hidden in my entertainment stand.

Have a PS5 in my Amazon cart but it doesn't look like it is going to go through. Saw a tweet that there was stock available and it was gone in less than a minute.

With the massive backlog of container ships stuck at the west coast ports waiting to be unloaded, North American inventory has the potential tol be even more scare than it was through the holidays until at least a few weeks after Chinese New Year.

Thanks for the links. I've got a ton of credit on Amazon so I want to stick with them. I've got like $300 in gift cards plus credit so a digital will cost me like $100.

Seems like stock is slowly trickling in. It just cheeses me off to get one in my cart and then lose it. Amazon is usually pretty good with that, at least if you get it in the cart it is ok. These things must sell out in seconds.

Same PS5 but managed to sort my elder sons television out with a nice deal on a C7 so it’s residing in his room while the search for a Series X for my littlest one continues.

The power cord will be heading behind the unit this evening once they are done playing for what its worth.

Damn, failed to secure a PS5 from Walmart. This is the first time I've ever considered going to a scalper and paying above the MSRP. The one thing holding me back is reports of some not getting a PS5 after paying a scalper.

Wait until it gets games. Returnal is coming soon. March I think. By then hopefully you can find one. Don't pay extra!

Like I mentioned just before christmas I ended up buying one from a local gentleman through Craiglist $670 which to me was a good price all things considered but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have to have it, the best is yet to come along with consoles no doubt.

Does anyone actually have the PS5 sitting in their entertainment unit? The SeriesX is massive as it is and can't fit in a pretty big gap can't imagine the PS5.

Oh haha I got big tower speakers I wouldn't trust my consoles on top of them! I do want them off the ground though.
The speakers are pretty wide...the ps5 concerns me the most, even with its decently wide base it’s like hella flimsy. I’m sure if it was on my woofer it would destroy its eternals before it toppled over flat whilst playing a movie or game lol

shoot, I should look into if they have shelling

Besides falling.... the vibrations can't be good or the shielding.

Stay strong and wait. There will be plenty in stock soon, it is just a matter of them making more. F the scalpers.

It is frustrating. Stock seems to disappear in seconds. Once more gets out there, the scalper price will fall and everything will get back to normal.

One of these weeks there will be a bigger stock drop (a lot of people have mentioned February). You know Sony is cranking these things out as fast as they can.

I saw BB had stock but when I checked instead of an OOS or add to cart button it said something else. Also tried Walmart but any time I hit add to cart it said it was sold out. Some people have had luck in that if it gets added to your cart but doesn't go through, leave it in the cart until the next time. Then just go into cart and proceed with checkout.

Now that's something I need, PS5 looks quite tight in there, though I guess it's just the fins and it still gets airflow.
The PS5 is touching both the top and bottom. I slid the PS5 in very carefully, but yeah, it had to touch on top to get it in there. No forcing though. Just luck.
