We are fully committed to ray tracing moving forward, and to see that available on the PS5 is probably the biggest feature we’re excited about. The faster SSD will help a lot with player experience, but adding support for ray tracing is the sort of thing that to us shows a true generational leap in the hardware.
Elsewhere, he also touched base on the PS5 DualSense controller and what it may bring to the Metro franchise.

Probably the first that comes to mind for Metro would be getting that tactile feedback of pressure as you pump up a pneumatic rifle.

By comparison, 4.5 million PS4 units were shipped to retailers in 2013, and it took until June 2014 for that figure to reach 10 million. Assuming there’s enough demand to justify this increase in production, PS5 sales may be stronger out of the gate compared to PS4.

The facility is almost completely automated, and apparently there's only four people on the line at any given time. Robots do most of the assembly, including twisting wires and threading them through small recesses, while the workers simply feed the unfinished consoles onto the belts and then package the finished products.

Ok, i thought it was interesting that Sony did this. I mean, obviously the process was planned for a while but the doubling of the units seem VERY aggressive. Looks like they have plans to sell through a large sum of units very quickly, which brings me to the price...

sooooo, built and shipped by end of said quarter

That quarter is this year or rather that launch window, not next year. We have Thanksgiving (if Sony launches November) and the Christmas holiday. They expect this console to fly off the shelf. They are strategically setting down their pieces. Yet, these guys haven't said a word. They should not be underestimated is all i am saying.

I think you'd find, if you were to publish a poll, that there would be great support for you making sure that it literally was *all* you were saying. 🧐

Interesting that they don't flaunt 4K Gaming as one of the features.

Is that a selling feature anymore? We've actually seen native 4K games running PS5 dev kits btw, we haven't seen any real gameplay on a Series X yet and games like Halo infinite are using variable res just like many One X games do. I think the people who hung onto the Native 4K thing for the One X are going to have to let that go with next gen, devs aren't going to focus on that.

It will be ridiculous if both consoles aren't running native 4K games. If they can do it or at least come close with current gen, it'll be laughable if next gen games aren't all 4K. Especially when some companies are wasting resources on things like 120fps.

If you want games to look the same as they do now and go for native 4K with some slight improvements that's fine, I'd rather they push the graphical details higher, draw distances further, more realistic physics, hair and faces etc and go with reconstruction. You can't tell the difference between native 4K and good reconstruction anyway unless you zoom in 300% and that's just stupid. Look at Horizon ZD and Spider-Man on PS4, they are as sharp and clean as anything running in native 4K, hell Horizon looks cleaner than RDR2 on the One X. Of course the HDR in RDR2 kills it's presentation and that game looks much better with HDR turned off.

I do agree that 120fps is a waste, leave that stuff for PC players IMO, 60fps with better graphical detail would be appreciated by more people than 120fps with lesser quality visuals. Of course the only announced 120fps games that I know of are DIRT and Halo Infinites MP and I believe those are both optional modes, I know DIRT is but not sure about Halo.

They should be able to run native 4K AND push everything to a new level like you said. That's IF these consoles are as powerful as they're touting them to be. I wanna see all of that stuff too, which is why I'm pretty disappointed with what's been shown so far with the games. From what's been shown, they aren't doing much that's not being done right now. After playing GoT (haven't opened TLOU2 yet) the new console games shown are even more underwhelming by comparison.

IDK about HDR on RDR2 on the X1X, but it looks better being off on the Pro for me.

No way horizon looks crisper then RDR2, I was literally playing horizon this morning and was thinking how GOW looks better. RDR2 is clean as hell on the 1X

I do agree there's plenty of tricks to achieve that 4k look and save some horsepower for other graphical upgrades.

I have Horizon on the Pro and RDR2 on the One X, the image looks sharper inHorizon than RDR2 especially if you have HDR turned on, the image is a bit soft on RDR2 but again turning the fake HDR Rockstar used off helps clear that up, their HDR effect washes out the picture big time. Sadly Rockstar won't let you turn HDR off in the game menu on xbox you have to turn it off in the console menu but they have the option to turn it off in the game menu on the PS4 version, silly oversight on their part.

HDR in sea of thieves is amazing...

Yep so do I haha, I will say that GOW and Horizon look very sharp, but GOW looks better, Horizon sometimes feels like it has a weird filter on it it's hard to say, maybe something to do with the art style. All 3 look pretty different, the trees, foliage etc look better in red dead. At the end of the day it can be pretty subjective as all 3 look terrific. I enjoy GOW and Horizon much more then read dead anyway haha red dead was always the game I'd turn on to marvel at and just cruise round.

The hell is going on in this thread? I only sex up the womenz, after they receive payment, but if anyone wants a cuddle buddy to talk it out with then I'm here for you.

RDR2 looks crisper with its native 4K but Horizon ZD has better graphics.
If it was true 4K there be no question.

AI upscaling techniques are pretty much the future.

There’s a rumours that the OS also uses 175 GB of the SSD.

There's also rumors that Ariel Winter is sitting on my face. I think reliance on rumors just because some honk with a YouTube channel puts out a video is rarely the wise choice, though if anyone knows Ms. Winter and clears it with her and my wife, feel free to prove me wrong.

From what i heard...
That rumor had it near 1tb with 825gb left.
But certain bad sources ran with the wrong info.
Madz shouldn't make videos.

Did you post your source where you heard about the OS using 2 GB of ram or is it just a rumour?
Are we not to discuss any rumours anymore about the consoles or games? The rumours have come from Playstation fans on Twitter. The sources are linked in the video.

No one saying it’s true or verified, just a rumour like the rumour you heard about the OS requiring 2 GB of ram? Are only rumours allowed to be discussed that you like?
