Pretty speculative. It assumes that Sony will remove the option for consoles in place of streaming only. I kind of doubt that. They're a worldwide company, meaning they serve lots of territory without great internet. They have to accommodate those customers or lose them. Not to mention the people who just like consoles. Streaming is expected to comprise about 2% of the market next gen. I doubt that's suddenly going to catapult to 100% over the space of one gen.
I don't know. I mean, why would they keep building consoles when this was the last generation of consoles because mobile gaming was killing off console gaming?
Yeah, people are always pronouncing the end of this or that. End of Xbox, end of PC gaming, end of the world... How many times have those predictions come true? Um, zero times.
Granted, everything comes to an end eventually. The entire universe will end in heat death in 15 billion years. That will really put a damper on E3 that year.

I've been saying this for a while, but everyone is drinking in the hype. I'm sure it'll be better, but it's always pie in the sky. I keep reading about signal magnifiers being put into paint or even sprayed over an area crop-duster style. Silliness.Everyone seems to be counting on 5G being the thing that takes us all to streaming, since when has a mobile speed upgrade lived up to it's initial promise? Is 4G better than 3G? yeah but it's nowhere near as good as they said it'd be and 5G will be even more limited until they build out a lot more towers, the signal doesn't travel anywhere near as far as 4G and even after those towers are built there is the problem of it actually working well in doors, it doesn't penetrate buildings very well due to the high frequency.
