It is part of their huge clearance. It's listed as $29.99 but if you get an employee to scan it for you, it comes up as $9. It's not just select Toys R Us, it's all of them, but it has to be in store. If you have a Wii U and wanted the game, check out your local Toys R Us.
 
Stupid question here, definitely, but do US copies of games work on Wii U's sold in Canada?
 
Ok, well, if I am in the area of my Toys R Us, I will grab a copy for you if you're interested.

Good luck finding one in California so pretty much YMMV. I bought one when it was at 60% off ($12).
