Yea I've come to embrace PvE coop these days. Too old and play too many games these days to be competitive anymore. I'll probably end up just buying this on PS5 as my PC GPU is dogs***. It does have cross play at least.
Game grew on me the last month or so and I ended up buying it for PS5. Played about 3 hours last night and really enjoying it. Game looks and runs good, no crazy bugs or jankiness yet. Gameplay loop is fun and the mechanics for the operators is something new and helps change things up.
Edit: also the cross play works well. Played with Xbox friends. No issue getting into a party and audio quality was just as good as when I played with randoms.

Tried it out... Didn't understand how I supposed to take down the first alien stealthy as he has his back against a wall in the tutorial... Uninstalled. Ain't got time for this, the aliens seemed super boring too. I'll rather play the og siege until they give me a real Rainbow Six campaign.
Just have to vault over the counter near him. Honestly unless the mission objective calls for stealth kill none of the games I played had anyone do that. Silencers/suppressors for sure but never bothered with knifing enemies.
I downloaded this on PC game pass (once I figured out how). Look forward to trying it out again.
I tried vaulting but he saw me both times from both angles.... Maybe I didn't give it though a chance, but with my backlog of great titles it might be for the best.

I put hundreds of hours into RS3, Black Arrow, and then Vegas1&2. Great times back then playing with friends on the earlier years of XB Live and crappy mics and voice lol. Remember those old XB mics that were thin with only one speaker on one side to hear voice? Those were the days.
The original Xbox Live Communicator (that's what it was officially called) was just terrible, it always broke at the part where you clip the headband to the ear piece, I had one that was super glued like a mofo for a very long time.
Yeah this game is hella confusing for no reason. Not sure how to progress sometimes and we just lost interest like after one or two missions lol. No clear progress path, no story, just objectives after objectives.
Play Pulse and use his scanner. The objectives are hidden until someone finds them, and they have random placement. Pulse has that heartbeat scanner which will let you find stuff much faster.
I actually ended up buying Vegas 2 after playing this haha was only a couple bucks.
The game play just isn't our cup of tea. There's nothing to write home about regarding gameplay, story, graphics, everything basically.
The thing to remember is this is still a very tactical shooter at heart. It is easy to play it more like COD Zombies or Left 4 Dead, but stealth is key. You'll get overrun and/or run out of ammo if you alert too many enemies. Get in and get out fast.
It definitely has a learning curve to it. Most of my rando teammates go rushing in and don't fair well.
