Pick the Blu-ray up today, fools!! :) I'm planning to get it today as soon as my son gets home from school. Cannot wait!!

EDIT: Got the 3D version. The Blu-Ray case is black instead of blue. Interesting. Can't wait to watch it in uncut version tonight. :bang:

Say what?!

I seriously hope the new movie will have more focus on a team and not just Wolverine (No offended, Logan! We love you, though!).

What do you think? Yay? Nah? Wait n See? Meh? (I'm looking at you MW). ;)

I probably go see two maybe three movies a year at the Movie Theater and most of those are kids movies for you know, my kids.
This shall be one of them
If this is any where close to the Homeresque story line of O Brother than I can't wait.

Oh wow. And now Fox is aiming for "Marvel-Style" plans.

Kinberg is currently writer and producer on both Days of Future Past and the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this new deal will allow him to expand both franchises into a crossover model similar to the one pioneered by Marvel Studios. "I have a lot of ideas on how to built those brands and do what everybody is thinking of these days: Be like Marvel," Kinberg told the website."I want to be able to build stories over multiple movies."

Apocalypse and Magneto are my favorite Marvel villains. Well, next to Galactus but he's not really evil. He's just really hungry.

We had attempted it back at Teamxbox but it never got off the ground. How it would work is that I'll select a film and everyone has a month to watch it. There will be a thread dedicated to the film and we'll discuss it. The discussions would range from the overall feel of the movie to the cinematography, to the writing, to the mise-en-scene, etc., everything. The idea is to make it a more in-depth discussion of films than the standard "What movies have you seen recently."

I'll choose movies that are roundly regarded but not viewed by many or not viewed recently. The choices will be indie, classics, foreign, experimental, shorts, etc.

Thoughts?

I would be in as long as the movies are easily accessible.
I wouldn't pick something that's obscure or hard to obtain. I'd search Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Instant and how much it would cost to buy it, if necessary, off Amazon. I'd make every effort to make them as easily accessible as possible.

"Fox Force Five." Fox, as in we’re a bunch of foxy chicks. Force, as in we’re a force to be reckoned with. Five, as in there’s one..two …three..four..five of us.Pulp Fiction (1994) vs. Kill Bill vol. 1 (2003)

Is that the work of the director or Bridges' own contribution?

Li Tan : That's pretty cool.. I never made the connection, and don't remember anyone pointing it out when KB was out and popular.

Makes sense though.. I think KB was a dream project for Tarantino.. it's an homage to older film genres he loved.. so makes sense that if he's inventing some dialogue in Pulp Fiction he would describe a show he'd actually want to create (or at least a movie being described as a show.)

If I remember well, I think Thurman and Tarantino actually discussed KB while making Pulp Fiction and they only ever got around to it in the far future. It originally sparked about with some writings/drawings on a napkin and obviously QT is just really into movies of that era, so it stuck with him as a creator.

Finally saw it tonight and it's pretty good.
Very tense at parts!

I do like 3D films btw and the glasses do fit over regular specs, even if the tiny ones I had tonight took a bit of adjusting :txbmad:

Photoshop Tennis is where we take a base image, player 1 edits the image, then posts it, player 2 then edits that edit and so on until the image is completely r******d. It's a good way to get quick at Photoshop techniques plus helps existing skills speed up. You want to do your edits as quickly as possible for your own benefit, you would be surprised at how quickly you'll learn to implement a technique.

It doesn't have to be PS, just whatever image editing software you're comfortable with, and it doesn't have to be great, just something to sharpen you're skills in that particular software. It's all around good fun, and what's produced is always funny.
