Beautiful graphic. I can't imagine what the developers can do on PS4 the next few years. :eek:
 
I'm on the "are either really worth getting " bench. Neither are blowing me away with features and exclusive launch games. Neither really have hardware that is all that impressive. A lot of the 3rd party stuff is cross generational . Not all games are 1080P, which IMO is a joke. There seems to be way to big a focus on F2P and crappy second screen/ smartphone stuff.

Maybe they need to spend more time fine tuning the game to lock it in at 60fps. No doubt it should be easily possible.
 
Bungie has revealed the Destiny box art for the PlayStation 4. I think it looks OK. It's your run of the mill box art. Nothing about it is too flashy. Does anybody else think of Halo when they look at the cover? The middle character reminds me of Master Chief. It's got to be the helmet. The Xbox One cover should look identical.

Looks interesting. The helmet looks rather odd because I thought he was looking at me. After a moment of paying more attention to it, it looks like it's the actual back of helmet, not the front. Nevertheless, I will still get this game anyway! One of the most must-have title on my list. (Still undecided which version to get: PS4 or Xbox One.)

I want Division more too. But where is the Xbox One version of Destiny love? Seems like Bungie is giving MS the shaft.
 
Great article, if you are only getting one both sound like great choices. I'll be getting the XB1 for launch, have always preferred the Xbox games and have enjoyed Kinect and looking forward to the upgraded console and camera. Maybe down the line I will pick up a PS4 too but for now will just enjoy the XB1.
 
With a rash of closures and layoffs in the video game industry it's finally nice to see a breath of fresh air once in a while. Ubisoft has announce that plan to add 500 jobs to their Quebec office over the seven years as the console world and mobile worlds expand and crossover.

"The imminent arrival of the next generation of consoles, the expansion of mobile platforms, the multiplication of connected, immersive, and social environments, and the strategic importance of the relationship between developers and players are profoundly transforming the video game industry", Ubisoft Co-Founder and CEO Yves Guillemot indicated. "Today’s announcement allows us to anticipate the growth of our future needs with the main objective of strengthening proximity with our players and creating value for them."​

Any new jobs for the industry is good news and Ubi will be hiring in all aspects of the industry.

The 500 new jobs cover a wide range of new skills essential to the development, the production, and the operations of a new generation of video games. To the industry’s "traditional" trades, new profiles come into play, including community and network management specialists, business intelligence analysts, mathematicians, telemetry experts, systems operators, and monetization and interactive marketing specialists.

Ubisoft has confirmed the release dates for Assassin's Creed: Black Flag for current, next-gen consoles and Steam/PC. Trick or treat? Black Flag hits PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii on October, 29th. PlayStation 4 gets it on November 15th. PC/Steam gets it on November 19th. And the Xbox One gets it on November 22.

I just finished up Revolution and am expecting AC3 in the mail hopefully tomorrow. Should give me plenty of time to finish up before the new one comes out!!
 
I wonder if the trophies/achievements are different between PS3 and PS4/Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Only hardcore trophies/achievements-hunters would dare to buy both versions just to hit 100% trophies/1,000Gs. :eek:

Hm, that's a good question. Not just for this game, but all "cross-gen" games. My guess is the achievements will be the same, but who knows because there may be some features that are in next gen versions that don't make it in current gen versions.
 
I miss MJ. Back when Basketball was worth watching...
