Alan Wake for me. That's it. Still haven't finished Far Cry 4 or 5 that I bought. I guess I am done with that series.

I don't think I've ever even played an AoE game.

I'm hoping Far Cry is fun. I hope they aren't doing the super weak gun thing where every run of the mill enemy takes tons of bullets to kill.

I'm hoping Back4Blood is fun.

I wonder if hell let loose is like enlisted, otherwise just back4blood for me, good chance to catch up on games.

I believe the dev who made an indie game that was less than 2 hours long so a lot of Steam gamers just bought it and requested refund from Steam after beating the game so the dev never made much money I'm guessing...
I lot of dicky gamers that exploit rules. Thats why we cannot have nice things.

Never played Enlisted but I did try the Hell Let Loose beta on PS5. Seemed to be as realistic as possible, slow paced, etc.

The more I read about these covid related delays, the more impressed I am about Insomniac being able to release Miles Morales and Rift Apart in a span of 7 months. Many studios are delaying their games from 2021 into 2022 and beyond. Insomniac releasing games like there is no pandemic.

Hoping Spiderman 2 and Wolverine can make 2023/2024 with no delays.

More impressed with rift apart than miles morales, one’s almost probably totally new whilst the other already had plenty of ground work done with, probably since overdrive.

They got the gameplay/mechanics pretty much down. My only major concern would be motion/facial capture, since it seems they’re now using different faces for references instead of the vo actors

Same for God of War Ragnarok, yeah? Plenty of ground work done already in God of War 2018 but it's still taking 4 years+ to make a sequel.

Bandai Namco Group Announces New Purpose and Corporate Logo
Sharing dreams, fun and inspiration with people around the world to create a brighter future for everyone

The Bandai Namco Group has decided to replace our existing Mission and Vision with a statement of Purpose. We will also introduce a new logo that embodies our new Purpose. These changes will be implemented at the start of the next Mid-term Plan in April 2022. With intense competition in today's rapidly changing global market and increasingly diverse consumer needs, this decision aims to strengthen ALL BANDAI NAMCO concept in every region while leveraging the individuality of each Group company. Our ultimate goal is to further build the value of the Group brand worldwide.

1. About our new purpose

Bandai Namco's Purpose expresses the reason for our existence and why we conduct our businesses and corporate activities. Its wording was developed based on internal and external surveys, as well as discussions among employees from around the world. From April 2022, our Purpose will be the ultimate definition of who we are as a company and will shape the vision and strategy of our next Mid-term Plan.

Purpose

Fun for All into the Future

Bandai Namco exists to share dreams, fun and inspiration with people around the world. Connecting people and societies in the enjoyment of uniquely entertaining products and services, we're working to create a brighter future for everyone.

Fun for All into the Future

2. About our new logo

Our current logo expresses the fusion of Bandai and Namco that was created when the two companies integrated. It will be replaced with a new logo that reflects our new Purpose. All companies with "Bandai Namco" in their names will use this logo. And, in principle, companies with and without "Bandai Namco" in their names will display this new Group logo on all their products and services. This will enable us to bring together the value of all our products, services, and labels under one logo and elevate the brand value of the Bandai Namco Group in the global market.

New logo design concept

The new logo's speech bubble motif, "Fukidashi" in Japanese, expresses the potential of the brand to connect with people around the world and inspire them with amazing ideas. The speech bubble also represents Japan's manga culture that has become so popular everywhere. The logo stands for our determination to communicate with fans worldwide, to connect with our fans, and to create entertainment unique to Bandai Namco. The magenta used as the motif color not only represents diversity, but also creates a bright and fun impression and is easy to reproduce.

The Spirit of Our New Purpose

Together with our fans, we'll create a new era for Bandai Namco, proudly communicating the reason for our existencr.

We all know Chinese Government know best for the Chinese. I am happy intellectual & moral superior CCP government take the effort to crack down on misinformatiion, educated lessor common folks, eliminate bad habits.

On a serious note. I predicted long ago, at some point, the Chinese people will snap, & revolt when pushed to the edge, & it will not be pretty.
The Chinese tolerate the CCP because things are going well. When economy started to tank & people start losing jobs, & gap between rich & poor get worse, the authoritianism will not be tolerated.

Konami has announced an indie game contest that actively asks small developers to make games based on some of its classic series, including Gradius, Ganbare Goemon, and many more.

Konami's Action & Shooting Game Contest asks indie creators to plan and develop new action games and shooters based on past Konami titles. The rules allow for creators to make remakes or sequels, they can pick out a single character or mechanic from a past title, or even change or combine genres that may not have been in the originals. Through the collaboration of indie creators and Konami, these new works could potentially become commercial products.

A video outlining the contest was published by Konami. This contest is sponsored by Konami and held in cooperation with Shueisha Game Creators Camp, a project to support game developers. The contest began September 30 and will run until January 6, 2022.

Konami's specified 80 different games for creators to reimagine, including games from Gradius, Star Soldier, Twinbee, Ganbare Goemon, Knightmare and others. The full list can be found at the bottom of the official entry page (in Japanese).

The grand prize for the contest is 2 million yen (about $18,000 USD), and Konami will offer to publish works that can be commercialized. In addition to investing up to 30 million yen ($270,000 USD) in development funds for commercialized projects, Konami will provide supervision, production advice and support regarding localization, promotion and development equipment.
