Feels like many people are leaving after Infinite released 🤔
Well after 14 years I’m sure one would want to change things up, he was there since four, an understudy of its lead artist.

Granted it’s pretty typical for many to leave after a project. They did lose all their temp and contractors when they finished

Yep and getting in some halo veterans, hopefully this is the change halo needs, I couldn't care less how many people leave, more the merrier really, s***s a mess, keep all the gameplay devs though haha.
Yup, 343 has been doing some great hiring as of late, including from Bungie.

Maybe thats why Halo infiniate is a dev hell. Too many Indian chiefs. If I am hiring people, I will never adversise they have creative freedom to achieve their dream. Its either a lie, or you get the too many cooks situation, where things get done slow as every things are being argued.

I will just say we are an Indie studio, these are the type of games we are making these are the positions open. If you meet the requiement & interested, we welcome you to apply.

No need rainbow butterfly how amazing the workplace is, & empty promises.

I don't see Teabagging as problematic in Halo

as its a dead game.

But Jesus, adult "kids" these days are soft & offended and triggered by everything. I heard that in some US campuses, they will put trigger warnings before a lecture so students are prepared before a class. I am not talking about disturbing images of Holocust or something. Things like classical music & literature!

Also, everything is so sensationalized, & words like racism, oppression, sexual assault, and human rights. PTSD etc used to have an impact that has been use so causally in trival situations, that they lost their meaning, & resulting in "cry wolf" effect. When an actual cases of bad things happened, people will dismiss them thinking it's another sensationalism.

Trigger warnings are everywhere, hop on a bus, taxi, train, plane, rollercoaster, movie, video game, app, hospital, seafood restaurant, race track, concert, theme park, etc. Usually they list some sort of risk, exposure(s), views (pov), time period/history, etc.

Most of it is because those who post it don’t want to get sued, they’re like “we put a label on it so it’s on you to continue” or “ you’ve been informed to keep you hands inside the ride”.

Hell go watch ww2 Disney/WB cartoons, they have prompts at the beginning say something along the lines of “this was the world back then, it’s not who we are now”.

People getting offended has been a thing since recorded time, and probably way before it. Just now it’s easier to come across, mainly because cell phones.

A warning of danger/risk is not the same as emotional trigger warnings. Warning are normal everywhere.

I NEVER watched a movie that give me a warning as you mentioned. "Saying it's not who we are". This is stupid AF imo.

Also, people getting offended is normal. Its People demand what they are offended, to be warned, removed, replace or worse, punish, over most ridiculous things like classical music. That's not normal.
Check Yeonmi Park, a North Korean defector saying how some stuff she experiences in US & Columbia is crazy, or even more crazy than NK.
(by the way, I am not a sub of the channel, but the video is short & to the point)

Eidos Montreal founder: "I heard rumours that Sony said they're really interested in [acquiring] Square Enix Tokyo, but not the rest."

He continues: "If I read between the lines, Square Enix Japan was not as committed as we hoped initially. And there are rumours, obviously, that with all these activities of mergers and acquisitions, that Sony would really like to have Square Enix within their wheelhouse. I heard rumours that Sony said they're really interested in Square Enix Tokyo, but not the rest. So, I think [Square Enix CEO Yosuke] Matsuda-san put it like a garage sale."

Guess maybe the rumor is kinda old, but who knows…. If it were to happen I have a feeling they’d do the same as they did with Bungie, they’d be part of the Sony Group instead of SIE proper.
