I bought one of those at Kmart on clearance for $20 and sold it on ebay a few years later for $100. I could never find any movies in stores. The best thjng about it was the media remote.
What's the percentage split between PS5 disc and digital ? Willing to bet disc is more than digital.
Also their new PS5 sku is giving those the option to get a detachable drive if they want to. Are they doing this for the new XSX and XSS too?
That installbase mod has shown that the percentage at the time in 2022 (or was it 2021?), there were more XSS sold than XSX expected from MS 75% to 25%. Now is that because it's digital or because it's cheaper?
Now there is rumours of Xbox also releasing a detachable so let's wait and see.
Around this time next year, things could get REALLY interesting if these are true.

It's almost like they know the detachable drive will flop so then they can say bye bye physical.
3 years into the gen and still having issues producing your premium line console? Seems this is more by design now and based on their leaked future strategy.
If last year it was already at 75% XSS and 25% XSX, seems like the numbers could be favouring the former even more now.
We will see. Phil says a lot of things to the public but the results will speak for themselves.

Phil already said it was due to shortages for Series X.
It’s from 2020-21, so old data from who knows what fiscal year and those were lent the best of times for the world, in general.
