Redbox will carry Xbox One and PS4 games, soon.

Well, it's depend on how much is "too much" for each person. We cannot really speak for everyone else since we all different. In my case, I work 50 hours per week, spend time with family, catching up some news on web, reading books, etc. It's no way I can beat game in a single week or so if it offers so much of gameplay and hours upon hours of playing story mode. I personal do not like to rush myself as well so this is very important for me. So 2.50 times 7 days equal ~18 bucks. Compare to Blockbuster and you'll get the idea. I'm sure they're cheaper than redbox. If, however, game is so light and can be done in a single day; and a person is free 100% all day, then redbox is probably the best option.

True, people have different schedules no doubt, but usually when I rent a game from Redbox, I do it over a weekend. I'll rent it after work on a Friday and play it all night...if it's good, I'll usually return it and buy the actual game, but if it's crap, then I don't mind that I wasted $5 over a weekend on it.

i.e., I wouldn't rent Skyrim over a weekend...that'd be pretty impossible to get a solid play through on that time. But for FPS games or say short single player games, a couple days of renting it is far better than dropping full price on something that will get very little play out of.

It's kinda why I wish Ryse was already for rent because I don't think I can muster up the $60 for it.

$2.50 for a rental is a lot?
You get charged a dollar per day last I remembered. So depending on the game, yeah, it can be more than what I was used. Blockbuster would charge either $5 or $7, but you were essentially paying for a full week. I think $5 rentals were for five days. I don't like slamming through a game in one play through. Rarely did it as a kid and I certainly don't do it as an adult. The only game I really did that with was Modern Warfare 2 and that's because it was such a short game.

Same here. I wouldn't mind paying $2.50 a day for Ryse as it probably won't take me too long to beat and I doubt I'll do much in the MP.

I rented COD Ghosts the other day...spent less than 30 minutes on that game and said well...that was better than wasting $60 lol.
