Rumor: Actor behind Sgt. Frank Woods reportedly teases new Black Ops could be coming

In a new video posted on Sgt. Frank Woods’s official channel, he talks about a giveaway that he has started. But, at the end, around the 2:10 mark, he might have revealed some new tidbits of information regarding the future of Call of Duty.

He says, “I have got some information coming up later on in this month about the next Black Ops game…not the next Black Ops…the next Call of Duty game…I just gave something away.”

 
Ugh. They need to give this series (COD in general) a rest.
 
I honestly hope they wait a year for Black Ops 3 & build a new engine. Then the old systems would be out of the way by that time, Modern Warfare 4 could come out next year, then Black Ops 3 with an entirely new engine the next year with next-gen Zombies!
 
Here's hoping they go back to the first games style. Never played BlopsII, but I became less and less interested as time went on. Would love to see stuff like Bay of Pigs or more Vietname/Cold War stuff. Also, please make another Dead Ops Arcade game Treyarch! Might have to contact an old college buddy of mine. He works for Treyarch these days.

Ugh. I was hoping treyarch would take the lead and also launch a new Call of Duty series rather than doing another Black Ops.

I know there are a lot of Sci-fi games out there, but I think it would be cool to see a Call of Duty game that takes place in a Halo-like universe where a massive interstellar war is taking place.

Imagine the planetary invasions in Killzone, Quake IV, or Halo but with COD's great controls, presentation, and gunplay, next gen power, and 100s of people on screen at once. That would be an ideal game for me.

Exactly. They need to spend time and build a true next gen engine. That engine is ancient. All new engine, new netcode built for next gen. Heck, they can keep pumping out map packs for the old games if they want.

Probably just make some adjustments to the engine and call it a new engine like IW did for ghosts. Fish AI etc.

Another great idea that sounds good on paper.
 
Sci-fi wouldn't have to be a Halo space aliens type game.

Battlefield 2142 had futuristic weapons without being all lasers and spaceships. The weapons and vehicles in that game were futuristic and fictional, but not so advanced as to be like a Halo game. (they've done a little of this with the past few games, but not much)

There's ways to innovate without totally changing the game.
 
And people will continue to buy it and the same thing will happen next year, the year after that and on and on.
