Yup nobody knows but if I was a betting man...id bet on what I said.
Oh its no secret I want another company to run the XB brand.

Fair enough. I can respect the fact that you own it.

But if Microsoft were to spin off its brand, there's no guarantee that the new company would do much or anything at all with the name and assets.

Oh, if we are going by the games (franchises) as to who should own the console, I would still want MS to own the Xbox, or at least move all their awesome franchises to the new Xbox owner. They have my favorite games.

I am sure the franchises are going with the brand purchase.
So exclusive wise we would get all of EA's and MS franchises which could be bad for Sony if Madden(for example) was exclusive to Xbox 2.

Since Xbox isn't leaving MS (officially from MS), it's really a moot point anyway.

Well Val, I respect your opinion. But I'm going to have to disagree. EA with its own console would be bad for everyone.

No sports games for Sony. No EA games for PC possibly...it's not a good fit. Imo

Is VaLLiancE a disgruntled ex-Microsoft employee who was unfairly dismissed or something?

Because as a long time gamer I see when a ship is sinking and point it out?
Noticing(and speaking on) such things and not being happy with the way the brand is handled=bias

RIIIIGGHHHHHHT

At least my knowledge on gaming has taste unlike yours.

They have a board and investors to answer to.

Making bajillions as a third party vs. Investing in 'a sinking ship'

Hmm... Ask Forbes.
