Damn my target still don't have PS4 in stock. Pretty ridiculous. Lots of X1 though.

Sony is doing a poor job of meeting demand. Microsoft has gamers covered though. It really makes no sense why Sony would purposely hold back shipping PS4s. New strategy this gen i guess. It worked for Nintendo last gen with the Wii.

What do you mean what? You PS fans are delusional. Thinking that just because PS4s are sold out in most stores that the Xbox One isn't flying off the shelves just as fast. Sony simply isn't meeting demand and Microsoft is. It's not that hard to see.

Delusion is thinking 1.2 million (THIS EARLY) lead isn't a issue.

Delusion is thinking 1.2 million (THIS EARLY) lead isn't a issue.
Let me explain this to you.
1 Christmas season shopping just happened.
2 A lot of people still think that the policies announced at E3 were still in place.
3 X1 got a whole lot of bad press.
4 majority of casual gamers ( who MS is partially targeting) will not purchase consoles until they have been out a year.
5 These consoles will be around for at least 7 years. Alot of people will have both if not all three consoles when its the end of their life cycle.
6 Word of mouth is the best seller. A LOT of naysayers who bashed the X1 have changed their mind once they got their hands on it.
7 The PS3 was more powerful than the 360, sales ended up about even.
8 If it was that big of a problem MS wouldn't be partnering with Sony with their phones.
9 MS is not fiscally strapped( not saying this is going to happen) so if it were a problem MS could just buy fiscally strapped Sony.
10 if you go buy sold units the Wii was the best console of last Gen, do you agree that it was? Because I don't.
11 MS is already in talks with China unlike Sony or Nintendo. So to steal someone elses post. LET CHINA HIT THEN TALK $H!T.
12 No 1.2 million is not a big difference if it was 10.2 million after 1 year, then yes.
13 Why oh why are you so concerned. Are you an adult do you really know how a free economy works. Sony MS and Nintendo need each other to survive, and thrive. If only 1 console maker is around all we will have is crappie games, becouse we have nothing else to buy.
14 Take a look at the original 360 and how basic it was , then look at the 360 now. Do honestly think the X1 won't vastly improve?
15 I'm an X1 fanman the PS4 is a great gaming console. While the X1 is a fantastic entertainment console that plays great games.

The gap will widen when PS4 is released in Japan in Feb.
and even more when the ONE is released in china later this year

An article in Sohu IT, one of China's biggest technology sites, quotes Luo Jiangchun, CEO of online video service Funshion, saying that Xbox One will be available late next year. Funshion is a streaming TV service, owned by BesTV, which recently announced a joint partnership with Microsoft in the Shanghai Free Economic Zone.

they're holding stock for Japan obviously, as well as now have a "requirement" to distribute to a larger number of countries and locations...

no surprise here that ps4 continues to be constrained in US.... They are shipping a much smaller percentage of their production yield to this market...

We all know that the XB brand in most popular in the states, and over seas not so much.

It's popular in the states and Europe. Other places, correct, not so much. Especially Japan.

Since both released...its likely the ps4 outsold the x1in NA (if sony kept up with the HUGE demand)
Which would=Sony winning NA back.
Sony can win every country back (or MS could). Makes no difference to me. I just want my awesomesauce games that I keep playing on my Xbox One, and the awesome ones that are coming. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.

Sony. No one will be able to top Mario
Definitely none as iconic as Halo and not even close to the same level as Mario. However, they still have some iconic figures that move consoles. Nathan Drake being a big one.

I believe the next biggest market would be the UK, and even they didn't sell as much as PS4 there. Even in other countries that it's popular in, it still doesn't make up the bulk of sales.
It's most popular here in the states, and PS4 still outsold XB1 in the states.

Just saying, even if we factored in other countries, chances are, PS4 would still have outsold XB1. Even software sales are going in PS4s favor (for anyone that wants to make a claim that it's all about the games and maybe there are a ton of PS4s sitting on ebay).

PS4s can't be purchased from Target, walmart, Bestbuy or Amazon online, but all 4 has plenty of XB1s. Even with limited stock, Amazon still has PS4 as more popular and sold more, and has PS4 games outselling XB1 games.

In the end, that's all that matters. People shouldn't let sales bother them as it really doesn't matter to us. Sales really matter to Sony and MS.

Can't go by online sadly. I looked online when trying to get my X1, and all said sold out...but in store when in person, there was plenty (same with PS4).

I honestly don't know why it's so difficult to have accurate inventories. This day and age it should be instant and accurate.

Yup, but we still have another 10 years worth of sales before we know who ends up selling the most. We will have to see where we are 10 years from now.

Dang, 8 years later and 80 million consoles sold for the 360/PS3 and we still don't know. And the 360 was pummeling the PS3 early on in sales, but then it turned around once the prices got inline. No doubt we will probably see a similar scenario.

No doubt. 8-10 years from could be dramatically different than it is today in terms of gaming, especially depending on what games come out. For all we know, Titanfall could become the next CoD and everyone will flock over to XB1.

I'm seriously hoping that when TF releases, it brings back that feeling I had back when CoD4 came out.

Me also please show me one article saying Sony sales are to customers and not stores. Think I'll take the Wall street journal over you.

I honestly don't see how this is even debatable when there are clearly no PS4 consoles on the shelf and hasn't been since it was last replenished. However, I've noticed quite a large supply of the other systems on shelves in my local GameStop, Sams Club, Toys R Us and Wal-Mart. How do I know this, you may wonder. I've been seaching and calling around for one for quite sometime now.

You don't really think these systems are just setting in the back under a tarp or something do you?

Did you even bother to read my posts before that. Where I said that I have NO doubt Sony sold more. And that I was putting this on for discussion. If there isn't a conslole to be found how do their sales numbers keep going up? Their there they just sale fast. Excuse me for bringing up something to get off of the same blah blah blah that has been posted in the last 7 pages. Excuse me!

Yes, I read the post before that. Other than the source that negates it, however, what I don't understand is how you're debating this when there are no consoles to be found anywhere. So they are, in fact, in consumers' hands -- the entire number, I might add.

Needless to say, your debate is being shot down both ways, and that's where I was getting at.
