Yes. In Maryland. I got my ps4 last week at a Walmart here in Powhatan VA. Walked right in and picked one up. They had plenty in the case. I have a day one xbox one as well. Wish I had waited for this deal though. If you zoom in on the ps4 pic above it looks like it comes with an extra controller and a year membership for ps plus.

Slickdealers are saying that Some Costco stores have this bundle for $489.99 with PSN+ and a controller.

and gamestop does indeed put out empty boxes

I have read his posts and I am guessing he is a youngster while my understanding are an adult. I doubt you'd bully a kid by rubbing salt in their wounds in real life, so to me it doesn't seem appropriate here either. IDK, maybe sometimes it's better to just keep your insults and web victories to yourself rather than put them out there at the expense of others, especially youngsters. JHMO, sorry for detouring off topic.
Back to sales...how is Sony going to maintain their lead if it's apparantly impossible to find? Surely if X1 is in stores it will continue to move units steadily. Also, with this shortage of PS4's has the secondary market for them risen accordingly? Are people paying big $$$ for them because I may be tempted to offer mine and rebuy once some games come out for it to play.
Well, that's sort of the purpose -- to allow people to gnaw on the carcass of sales data and snarl at each other. They need a place to do it. If it wasn't here, it would just pop up elsewhere.
It's kind of dull right now, because there's not a lot of new material to discuss. NPD will be fresh meat, though. That's coming out in the next week or so.

Seems accurate to me. I can put X1's in my cart, or pick up in store. I can't do either for PS4s, because they're not available.
