Yes, US is the only nation that keep XBOX one within a respectable range, helped by being also the biggest individual market. Its even more amazing when you consider PS4 is out of stock, or near out of stock in just about every major market. New stock for PS4 will come only in February in Germany last I heard.
That & its not launch yet in Japan.

XBOX is doing well, but have no doubt, that PS4 is flying, its almost feel like the old Sony PS1/PS2 domination era is returning. Hopeful that doesn't make them arrogant again.

Yah, AND Europe. The PS brand still sells more in Europe, but the box cranks them out there too..they are extremely close in Europe overall, which has led to the Xbox 360's 80+ million console sales. It's Japan where the Xbox falls apart. North America, Europe, Australia seem to be the best areas for Xbox.

Why would anyone, seriously, want that again? other consoles flailing, market stagnant, games only made for one console with little to no innovations?

Yes, the PS2 games became awesome, but the gaming industry jumped to life again when the Xbox hit and provided some strong, financially backed competition. Since then, we have seen remarkable strides in gaming.

Why any person who truly thinks they love gaming would actually HOPE for Sony to dominate the entire market again, is laughable.

He wasn't saying he wanted it to be a Sony dominated era (I could be wrong, don't know his stance). I think he was saying what it felt like, not what he wanted.


I doubt any serious gamer wants anyone to dominate the era, at best, this is healthy competition which keeps us getting great games.

i didn't mean it to be accusatory, i was using a generality. if people really want to be gamers, then support the industry as a whole. this cheerleading for a "team" crap is what killed other gens.

Yes. Thanks for clarify for me. Its just the feeling base on the sales so far.

At least a 2 horse race is good. 3 will be even better, but Nintendo dropped the ball for WiiU.

I am not feeling good, honestly. But its understandable for XBOX one poorer sales compare to PS4 in Europe. Contary to what many fellow American friends here believe, Its not because Europeans love Sony, far from it, but the economy for many nations, ain't doing well, & 100€, it is a lot for many people, be it physiology or real.

MS was running Sony pretty close last gen in Continental Europe. Sony still sold better overall, but it is certainly not 2:1 ratio or higher like we have see so far in the comparison chart.

Last time i checked Saturn,DC,N64,GC and Xbox were good alternatives

Actually North America, not just the US. But yeah, that all helps the Xbox One. It's Japan that helps the PS stay so close to the Xbox.

Are you talking about the PS3/360 gen here? Because Japan will help widen the gap further between the PS4 and Xbox One since the Xbox One is already trailing behind trying to stay close to the PS4.

I am talking about both. Yeah, Japan will help the PS4. Hopefully when the Xbox One expands from 13 regions to 54 regions, they too will continue to sell like hotcakes.
 
As usual, I saw PS4's at the store again. I was at the new Walmart in Sun Prairie, WI 53590. All behind the glass case. 608.837.6339 is their phone number. They were NOT listed as available online as I went to Walmart.com on my phone and put in that store location.

Online inventory searching is f***ED, and PS4's are available. At least in Wisconsin. Then again, it is Wisconsin, lol.

I just did! I see them all the time though so I would sound like a broken record. They just moved their PS4 stock from their closed location in front of it.

Thats cool, the only thing I've been playing is Resogun and AC4. I downloaded Contrast and Don't Starve but havent checked them out yet.

We have cows, cheese and snow. I highly recommend moving to Wisconsin as soon as you can to enjoy life to its fullest.....

Dubuque is as far as I want to go. I've gone further in for work and it was the worst place in the US I think.
