Yeah, I usually take his trolling with a heel kick, but I primarily went into this thread after seeing the 30fps tweet just to see how bad Shawn was going to try and stealth troll this thread.

I have to say, I know that @menace-uk- is very particular and has very strong opinions. If he is happy with his Series S, to me that means the Series S is a pretty good console.

I own one, played through Dead Space remake this past week and I honestly can't really see any difference from the X version. Granted, when they strip 60fps from the S and give ps5/X owners that choice in some games, it's not a good look, but otherwise it's a great value... I mean, it's like $300 in the US right?

30 fps at launch is a valid discussion point to have in a forum unless the powers that be don't want any tech talk at all in any of the game threads. Just let me know if this is standardized and I'll stop talking about it.

It's not 30 FPS on consoles. It would be nice to have the option to play at 60 FPS, but we won't. I'm not sure what there is to talk about.

We've seen plenty of games launch with 60 FPS modes so poor they were not the recommended way to play. I'd rather they put their effort into making the best 30 FPS mode they can than a half assed 60 FPS mode, especially given the genre.

I might see articles poo pooing it, but never in my wildest dream think about dragging it on to here just because it's different from the kudos you been giving those games. First, I have no interest in those games nor do I own a PS5. I sort of stay on my side of the street.

Tech and engines change and games get more graphically intensive over time naturally. So I don't get why it seems like such a delicate subject to talk about here.

I just wish people didn't have to step around broken glass around here to talk about things. There is like suddenly a lot of touchy subjects that people just can't discuss like normal adults because of emotions involved. I'm sure Xbox headquarters have these talks all the time and compare things and vice versa at Sony and Nintendo.

PS games I have talked about having 30 fps and 60 fps modes and differences between the two. The only PS games that have 30 fps mode only are third party multiplatform games which is why I also say in those threads, going to play the PC version if they are just going to cap it on the consoles. .

30fps, lacks of options, etc is only an issue if it is Xbox. Didn't see you crying about BG3 being only 30fps with no options. Don't see you crying about Helldivers 2 lack of options.

You don't even own an Xbox but keep making a big deal of it with your fake outrage, and the f***ing mods keep letting you do it.

Looking forward to checking out the first game and this new one eventually when I have time. Good to see this one getting positive impressions… and of course the same usually suspects can’t stand that bringing their BS to this thread while playing the victim saying “I just want to generate discussion” Suuuuure. Mods needs to wake the f*** up. Hard to be adults and talk about games we are play or are interested in. How many of us go to threads and constantly post negativity about things we don’t even own or have interest in?

Dried spends his days bringing negativity to the XB section (console he doesn’t even own but uses that GP PC card) and constantly posts negative MS/XB news or negative posts on Twitter. Let’s ask ourselves why that is.

I also got curious and checked on Jerry on Twitter. He had a few replies to positive posts about this game trying to downplay this game and its graphics while also saying he’ll never buy it or play it. Lets ask ourselves why he’d even make those replies then if he has no interest in the game.

Fortnite is on unreal 5 and has no issues.

I think more because of the visual fidelity they are targeting for. The console hardware limited but again need to wait for the PC recommended specs to gauge.

HB2 is pushing state of the art graphics on console.

I’m sure when some PS5 dev choses 30 fps, it’ll be cool again.
