My guess advertising plus physical release in more areas.
Just shows Sony was all show the other year at E3 when this was announced and I'm guessing that's it for their involvement? Don't think it will be long till Xbox and Switch versions are confirmed.
Hmm... The rendering is fine, but the styling is still whack. The rendering is actually pretty nice- thanks to UE4. I'll hold judgement until I see some face animation. The music still gets me. Such a good score. Of course, I have to question anyone who uses Papyrus in their trailer.....
He looks like the Asian Seinfeld.
Whats the deal with Lan Di and mirrors?
Wait wait they're still getting a publisher AFTER the 6 million they scammed from everyone? "If we do not reach our funding goal (2 million), Shenmue 3 will not go forward."
What do they need the publishers money for after all that? I was suspicious of it before but I'm certain this is now gamings biggest boondoggle.
Nor 2020.....Now that Deep Silver has backed the project, Yu Suzuki is going to be able to build his full vision of Shenmue 3, this game isn't coming out in 2018....
Well that pretty much confirms III for Xbox as well IMO. 0 point only bringing the first 2.
So updated controls as well as the original and even better for me English and Japanese voice overs.

Not necessarily, if they are going through the expense of porting it to PS4 and PC than bringing it to the X1 is a no brainer, it probably won't cost much being that they don't seem to be doing a whole lot to improve the graphics. That doesn't mean that 3 won't come to X1 but I don't think porting the older games when they are already doing it for other platforms confirms anything. The publishing deal for Shenmue 3 is said to be exclusively for PS4 and PC.

Sony avoided saying it was exclusive when it was announced just went on about agreeing to advertise it. If anything it will be timed
Pretty much confirmed as you said. 505 is historical for that, and yeah Sony never mentioned exclusive.Sony avoided saying it was exclusive when it was announced just went on about agreeing to advertise it. If anything it will be timed
You probably have to start with the first one to get the connection to the characters. I really hated the box moving mini game "right! Right! Right!"I don't understand the appeal of this series. I tried it once on the Xbox -- was it Shenmue 2? I hauled boxes around and played checkers or something. I thought, "This is boring" and stopped. Based on how much people seem to adore these games, I must have missed something. I did stop playing pretty fast. Or maybe it's just not my type of game. I dunno. The screens/vids seem to be trading on nostalgia among the players who really enjoyed the game, way back when.
Top 5 greatest story telling games ever made imo. If haven't played the first I would assume 2 would be hard to love at first glance.I don't understand the appeal of this series. I played through 1 on my Dreamcast fairly recently, it holds up imo, at least if you liked/loved it back when released. Controls aren't nearly as bad as people say imo, it's weird to walk and run with a shoulder button but it somehow feels natural after a while. Some how I have a feeling these two will be another couple that make me have to buy some new rose colored lenses. I loved them back in the day, but, have a feeling they would stand up today.
the forklift parts aren't fun at all, especially not if viewed in a vacuum, but it do work in making you feel part of the world in the grande scheme of the story. I do not want a forklift mini game, if you like you can just play watchdogs 2, there's lots of forklifting there if you want.Am I the only one hopping they release a forklift mini game for mobile whilst we wait for the release of this.
