Without the invasion of Iraq, Al Qaeda would not be taking over regions in Iraq.

The Bush Administration is responsible for said invasion.

Actually the plan was for a security force to remain in Iraq, but Chelsea Manning's treason caused the US to have to pull all the troops out.
