Have no idea if this is true or not, but people claim that the LED light are glowing up gradually when powering up, like this:
Well there you go. When you are in a lull with games, you can just turn on/off the PS4 and enjoy the light show.
As long as you have the sound on, and listen to what they say, holistic, invisible technology, magical, rocket science, and blackest of black creatable, etc, it sounds pretty much like they are describing another wonder of the world.
Turn off the sound - and it looks like a big VHS player from the 80's. :-/

they're taking the past into the future. it's a design metaphor
The size comparison looks skewed to me. dimensions I have seen, including that from PS sites, PS4 10.8(W) 12(L) 2(H) XboxOne 13.5(W) 10.4(L) 3.2(H). A front on comparison is always going to make the Xbox One (13.5 x 3.2) dwarf the PS4 (10.8 x 2). But looking at them from the overhead their dimensions should almost mirror each others (13.5x10.4 vs 12x10.8 ) in the reverse. From that rendering above it looks like the PS4 would fit in the Xbox One disc tray.
Yeah doesn't sound much bigger so it must be just the bad pictures we have seen of both. I'm sure we will see better pictures of both soon once they are out.
X1 looks HUGE compared to the PS4. Sony does hardware, MS does not. I imagine MS doesn't know how to be as efficient with their hardware.
The DS4 looks HUGE though, and it looks third party with that touch pad. Yuck. X1 controller looks like a continuation of the Xbox and Xbox 360 controller. No need to fix what aint broke.

PS Quattro looks like a trapezoidal Wii to me. You can tell they really were pinching pennies when creating this generation. I'm sure it will be a good system but to me looks like a downgrade from when the Triple was released in terms of physical appearance.
I really want to see the software compared between the two and I do t ,ran games. I want to see how the co Sol functions in OS, apps, and what makes it a game changer.
Your not going to hear that when your playing, the only reason they can hear the clicks because they are messing with the controls.
Once the TV goes on your not going to worry or hear that.
