NeoGAF user DemonNite, who is also known to be a developer at Sony (though his true identity is nothing less than a solid secret), just threw out a rather big tease regarding Sony E3 2014 press conference. He published a great edited video clip, titled āPlayStation Legacyā, taken from the hit movie called Tron Legacy. The video can be seen at the bottom of this post.
The interesting part is when he properly pointed out the tease in the video by stating; āEaster egg in webm.ā The eagle-eyed NeoGAF users did not take much time in figuring out what the Easter egg was. Labeling Kaz Hiraiās disk shown in the video as āE3 2014 megatonsā, DeamonNite clearly teased upcoming big surprises at Sony E3 2014 Press Conference.
The disk with the label is attached to the back of Tronās version of Kaz Hirai, who is ready to walk through the door towards Sony E3 2014 Press Conference. DemonNite also added five beeps to the video that can be heard clearly when disk is attached. The beeps are no where to be heard in the original movie clip so the most appropriate and logical explanation that NeoGAF members came up with is that DemonNite is teasing five āmegatonā announcements that will surprise the fans watching Sony E3 2014 Press Conference.
A group of members also suggest that the video also includes a sixth, fairly loud, beep which can be heard when the camera angle changes. This possibly means that in addition to the five announcements, Sony possibly has a bigger āmegatonā announcement to end it all. All in all, the tease suggests that Sony E3 2014 Press Conference is going to be anything but less full of surprises.
As always, DemonNite is a developer at Sony, but he is not an official representative, so his words are of no good unless Sony itself backs them up. This all should just be taken with a grain of salt. However, it could be a controlled tease and considering DemonNiteās track record, this video very much deserves at least a degree of credibility.
